'Nice, big and clean but cosy house with seaview. It offers everything you need. Near castles, places to walk and to eat. Bigger places to go to don't take to long by car en the sea is always with you. We have enjoyed our stay very much. Walk to Johnshaven, go and enjoy a walk in and around Banchory, visit Aberdeen and Dundee of go to Dunnottar Castle. Thank you Eliot.'

'We have had a perfect stay at the Jute Store. The house is full of atmosphere, very roomy and with such a lovely, well equipped kitchen. There is even a small library! The location is perfect as well; you can start various walks right at the front door and Cairngorms Park is just an hour's drive away. A very friendly owner who does not mind last-minute requests. I'm sure we will be back!'

'Had a very good stay at Coorie by the Coast which really was a beachfront cottage. I got to sit out on the first afternoon in the garden. Heating worked well and cottage was very cosy. A well equipped kitchen for a holiday house. Communication with hosts was very smooth.'

'Stephan and Gwen were delightful hosts and the house was large, comfortable, clean and a beautiful view. The hotel in town had really great food. Make sure you have reservations though. They did help us by letting us do take away when we didn’t. The area had so many great things to see. Really close to Stonehaven (our host told us about it) and you must see Dunnottar Castle located just a short drive from here. Had some gifts and fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival. The host lives next door...

'There were 4 golfers, spouses and baby and all of our requests were met. Could not have been a better place for us. Everyone had their own bathroom and king bed. Kitchen was fully stocked and there were grocery stores nearby. We will recommend this place to anyone going to Scotland'

'From the owner to the location, we couldn’t have asked for more. The house was well equipped and the owner went above and beyond to throw in some extras. He made our 3 year delay worth it. Fantastic pubs, within feet of property and downtown St. Andrews an easy 5 minute walk. Carrying the golf clubs to the first tee was about the best experience you can have as a golfer. Cheers!!'

'Christian was responsive and incredibly easy to deal with. Location between Old Course and restaurants and pubs couldn't be better. VRBO itself was perfect for us - we were a group of 6 men travelling for golf, and this house worked great. Sitting area with large table under the glass provided huge amount of room for playing cards and eating. More space than the pictures would indicate. St. Andrew's is a special place for golfer's, and a great town for anyone to visit. Our recommendations:...

'Privacy: lovely setting with private walk in the woods out your doorstep. Quiet setting with small pond. Attractive wood interior, a clean home with everything we needed for cooking in and relaxing. Wood burning fireplace with wood supplied. Easy, pleasant communication with caretakers. Long drive in from main road but worth it. Drive to groceries, restaurants. Would love to stay again.'

'Stayed here with my husband and two teens for a 2 night stay.. House was small but cosy and we were glad the heating was on when we arrived as weather was awful!. House is well equipped for a self-catering holiday; we did not cook much but there seemed to be plenty of utensils /pots and pans etc. Also very pleased to see more than 4 of each piece of cutlery /crockery (a pet-peeve is when places for four people only have 4 forks /plates etc -you need those extras!!!) Great location for beach...
