'Hotel Matthiol was our favorite stay in Switzerland! The hotel is tucked just outside the main part of Zermatt, which made it feel peaceful and private, but it was still an easy walk into town, and the complimentary shuttle was a nice bonus. We stayed in a spa room with a sauna, steam shower, and a big soaking tub right by the window overlooking the mountains. "We had a very nice stay. With 4 big children a nice place to stay in this great ski area. It’s the perfect location for ski in ski out…and a great balcony, beautiful view of the mountains…with music from the bar of the hotel down under the house. Two things we think could be better: the dinner corner is with high metal seats not really comfy..the WIFi is something we missed as there’s a modern tv but we couldn’t use it…It quite high in the village. For skiers a great place to stay for non skiers it’s quite a steep walk up from town and supermarket. "
