'This is a great value stay on Island. I particularly enjoy the fridge/freezer so I can refreeze the ice packs for my cooler. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms are very clean and spacious. I've stayed several times with no complaints.'

'Clean rooms'

'Breakfast was good. They only had omelettes with peppers in them. So no plain eggs for picky eating kids. They also used one spoon for the eggs, potatoes and the sausage so cross contamination was there for vegetarians who wanted potatoes. The pull out sofa was surprisingly comfy. The shower and bathroom was clean. However, when I arrived one toilet paper roll was almost emptied so having that already freshened up would’ve been nice.'

'I have good things to say about the motel itself. My one negative is not about Best Western itself, but just an FYI...check before you go. We were there June of 2026 and there are a lot of roads torn up all around the motel due to redoing pipes. The water was shut off about 10 or 10:30 at night, not sure for how long. 'The property and staff were nice. Only complaint was that the room was not available at 4:00 check-in so we had to wait for it to be cleaned.'

'The Inn is living history , staying here is an oportunity to experience history and southern hospitality , the rooms are large an unusual , the Inn offers chef created dinners for a fixed price also there is bar service , location is unbeatable for water views and short walk to historical downtown shopping , the inn is unique and a rare find'

'The property was nice and pet friendly. However the day of check out they were having the water worked on which threw off my plans for that morning. Couldn’t swim or go to the beach because I was not able to come back and shower. Everything else went well during the trip.'

'This is a beautiful location for a hotel! The scenery was awesome and the grounds were perfect for walking my dog. There was lots of shade and Spanish moss in the oak trees, with a perfect view of the marsh and tidal creek. Staff were super helpful and made us welcome with our pet!!'

'Great Hotel Stay'

'Staff at check-in and check out were rude. No sign on door stating no pets were allowed in this area. My dog was carried the entire time but staff were super critical and hyper focused on her presence. Talking to us in a condescending way. The pet fee was $90. Won't stay here again.'
