I really have no way of reviewing the Dream Inn, because when we checked in (which we were in line for, for approximately 45 minutes) there were no more rooms available at the Dream Inn and so we were moved to a unit that belonged to the Hollywood Beach Hotels (HBH). The unit was ok in itself, however it had no WiFi reception and so we went back to the check-in desk and explained that we needed WiFi, because we had to take care of some important things since our flights back to our home country had been canceled. The guy at the reception was willing to accommodate us, but the woman next to him was sabotaging his decision by saying to him (but clearly within earshot for us) that this was no reason to move us again. That came across as quite unprofessional and not very collegial towards her co-worker. Luckily he stood his ground and allowed us to move to quite a decent unit, where we stayed for three nights. Only one fairly big cockroach leisurely strolled out from under the fridge, but we managed to humanely catch it and put it outside where he belonged. Seriously! All in all, we had a nice time and the best thing about this area is definitely the beach and the broadwalk with all its restaurants and bars. Oh, by the way, read the fine print, because they charge at least $18 per day for parking and without a parking permit visibly in your car, you may very well get towed.
