'We have stayed in Sara’s Shacks before so we weren’t concerned. Unfortunately we should have been concerned. We arrived after dark. Once I got into the house to turn the outside lights on, we found that the front porch light was burnt out and the back porch lighting was very poor. I messaged Sara about the front porch light and she messaged back immediately “I’ll send someone over to change the front porch light, sorry about that.”The next night we came back and no light. 'Very nice, clean place with two important caveats that were not disclosed up front:1. You do not control the thermostat. You cannot choose heat, air, or the temperature. There is a sign on the wall which says to contact the owner to adjust the thermostat. I have never stayed anywhere in my life where I have not had control of the thermostat, and this fact is not disclosed anywhere in the listing.2. The front door cannot be locked from outside the house. I've used plenty of electronic locks...

'Property was dirty, ants in multiple areas, no clean towels and had several things in need of repair. Once I was finally able to get ahold of the property owner he was very apologetic and bought towels had them delivered the next day and refunded 1 of our nights. Believe he may fix things hopefully for future people who stay. '

'We loved our stay. It was conveniently located for Winthrop’s graduation. The house is much larger than it looks in pictures. Very pleased!'

'The stay here was the worst, the beds were so bad we went to Walmart to purchase 2 blow up beds to sleep on, the couch was horrible to sit to relax. There was this old painting above the bed that fell and hit me in the head, I may or may not have suffered a concussion. Also, the people in the apartment above us stomped day and night. Be careful when renting this place. I will never stay there again.'
