There were mattresses stacked on a trailer and a few people milling around in the parking lot that gave it the appearance of an abandoned property. I am in the process of requesting a refund because I did not feel safe staying there and chose to go somewhere more appealing and safe looking.'

'We stayed in the Loom House, not until we arrived did we know we were to occupy the oldest habitable log home in NC. While the bed was comfortable, the small fridge was iced up and smelled of old food. There was no TV. There were nail heads sticking up out of the floor upstairs and the floor creaked loudly every time we got out of bed to walk to the bathroom. 'Blowing Rock is a beautiful little town. Unfortunately, big conglomerates are buying up the small hotel properties, and the personal service that was once the rule is now lacking entirely.
