She ruined the experience by kicking us out of the property at 11:40 saying that we cannot leave our car because the property closes when she takes her lunch break. We were told that she was new. Well, she clearly should not be working in the hospitality industry. We didn’t even spend 24h on the property although we booked the Honey Moon suite. 'Charming & characterful converted large house with a beautiful small central courtyard and yes it really does somehow have a South of France feel. Also small but charming is the welcome room off reception with a decent complementary tawny Port on offer, and on Hermanus’s occasional colder evenings, a log fire.'

'Ons C Huis is in a great location with wonderful views over the bay. It is in a very secure location, and has everything you need to enjoy your time at leisure. Waking up in the morning and opening the blinds to see the sea views was great, as was watching the sun setting from the deck. You can park your car on the drive or in the garage. Gansbaai has a superspar supermarket or you can shop at Woolworths or Pick 'n Pay in Hermanus before continuing to Gansbaai.'
