Romantische, privé, rustige villa in Gaucin met adembenemend uitzicht op Marokko

Villa Djebel Musa is een romantische, kleurrijke, prachtig onderhouden, door een architect ontworpen villa met een overloopzwembad. De tuin is een mengsel van volwassen exotische palmen tussen rotsen en struiken evenals wilde olijven en johannesbrood gevuld met zangvogels op een heuvel aan de zuidelijke rand van het mooie 'witte dorp' van Gaucin.

"Het beste uitzicht dat we in Spanje hebben gezien", zei een reisorganisatie. "Een werkelijk verbluffende eigenschap met 'wow-factor'!"

Gaucin ligt op 600 meter (1970 voet) boven zeeniveau en de villa en het zwembad bieden een spectaculair open uitzicht over de vallei van de Genal-rivier naar de Middellandse Zee en Noord-Afrika daarbuiten. Het wordt onderhouden en uitgerust volgens een hoge standaard.

Dubbele hoge open woonkamer met galerij met minstrelen leidt naar een grote overdekte veranda. Boog naar de grote eetkamer die leidt naar een eigen overdekt terras.

4 van de slaapkamers en de woonkamer hebben openslaande deuren naar hun eigen terras of balkon en er zijn andere terrassen rondom de tuin.

Terracotta vloeren, lichte tapijten, Marokkaanse potten, comfortabele stoelen binnen en buiten, satelliet-tv, wifi, bloemen, uitzicht, vogels, zonneschijn!

Enkele extra opmerkingen:
- We hebben 2 tuiniers, een efficiënte zwembadreiniger, een meertalige huismanager en twee mooie schoonmakers.
- De villa heeft beveiligde parkeergelegenheid voor 2 auto's. Verdere auto's kunnen gemakkelijk in de buurt worden geparkeerd.
- 43-inch flatscreen-tv met internet en satelliettelevisie en verzameling Blu-rayfilms.
- Het dorpscentrum ligt op slechts een paar minuten lopen voor tapas, restaurants, winkels.
- Kinderen zijn welkom, maar ouders moeten bedenken dat er trappen zijn naar het zwembad en steile druppels onder het zwembad, zodat jonge kinderen constant toezicht nodig hebben.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is a beautiful location and property. Really stunning and full of personality. Be aware, there are a lot of stairs in the property but we have that at our own home so our young girls weren’t phased and Mark had warned us when booking. Mark was a brilliant host and full of knowledge of the local birds. We have planned a return visit next year!

Lovely villa in beautiful area

We had a great week staying at the villa. The views are amazing and we had everything we needed for our holiday. I'd advise any guests with a large car to avoid driving through the village - you can park near the bus stop on the main road and it's less than a 10 min walk.

We loved Christmas 2024 in Gaucin at this lovely home. The property is just sublime, with views that take your breath away.Mark and Star, the owners, were incredibly helpful and thoughtful with their communication - which made our trip to Spain unforgettable. Gorgeous Spanish style villa, beautifully decorated, very spacious, with a fabulous outdoor dining area and a terrace where you can enjoy the most breath-taking views of the countryside, Gibraltar and Morocco - they are truly stunning. Super pool area and well established gardens ensure you can find sun or shade. The kitchen is to benefit from a refresh this coming Oct/Nov. An 80th Birthday Celebration

We were very happy to be staying in such a lovely location We all loved the village of Gauchin and the small supermarkets met all our requirements. We drove down to the coast twice to swim in the sea and enjoy the beaches and even got up early to catch a ferry to spend the day in Tangier. As for the house it lived up to all our expectations and the infinity pool was just lovely with lots of shade/sunny spots around the pool. The well stocked garden was a joy to walk around and was tended by a gardener.We would love to come back one day. Thank you Mark for being the perfect host.

Great Short Stay In Gaucin

Amazing property in a beautiful spanish mountain village. Both the owners and the property manager were extrmemly reliable. Our messages were answered promptly and any concerns were addressed. The pool and the gardens are stunning! The amount of effort that goes into the upkeep of this property is incredible. The only downside of the property really is the wifi. The wifi was really only available in the living room, kitchen and balcony adjacent to the dining area. Both bedrooms in the main house were dead zones and the Master bedroom was only a faint signal that kept cutting out. I realize there was a booster but I would highly recommend adding another or reconfiguring the wifi to expand the coverage. If you want to take your property experience next level I would explore options that allow lodgers to access it poolside. I had work emails to respond to and it would ha e been amazing if wifi available by the pool. The only other suggestion would be more lighting by the pool for ambiance. (Consider maybe investing in some solar lights) We added some to my folks backyard and it made all the difference. With all that said I would still rate the whole experience 4.75 / 5 ! If you want a relaxing experience with an amazing view this property does not disappoint!

Beautiful villa in wonderful mountain village location with stunning views.

We were not disappointed when arriving at the villa. The property is amazing - spacious and beautifully decorated. As a multi-generational family of 9, we had all we could possibly need. Space, great weather - the grandchildren fully enjoyed the pool, wonderful walks and the most breathtaking and stunning views. When not in the water, the children spent their time vulture spotting. Mark is a superb host and helped us source medical care for a family emergency. He responded quickly to emails and was only a phone call away if needed. We certainly all fell in love with the village and I would highly recommend a stay there.

beautiful house, beautiful view

We spent two weeks in October/November 23 in this very beautiful house with view to the coast and on clear days till Marocco and enjoyed our time there very much!! we were a bit unlucky with the wheather (deperately needed rain) but enjoyed the open fire place and the well equipped kitchen; the terrace, the view and the pool on sunny days are just breathtaking. The area is beautiful. If you are up for driving, you can go on stunning excursions - to Grazalema, Zahara, Sétenil, Ronda, the Caminito del Rey and take great walks in the Sierra de Grazalema. Because we liked this mountain area very much, we didn't much go to the coast (just once in two weeks) but rather enjoyed the sunny days by the house. Both Mark and Esther (the house manager) were very helpful whenever we had questions or needed help with some house management. Thanks for offering this villa maravilloso up for rent, our group of eight (between 13 and 82) spent happy times here (and there is enough space and privacy for everyone)!!! Gaucín is also a lot of fun to explore, there are many restaurants and tapas bar, even livelier in summer but also in October there were enough opportunities do dine out.

Stay at Gaucin

We had a magical stay at Mark and Star’s Villa in Gaucin. The pictures do not do the location and views justice, a truly stunning place. There was ample room for the 8 guests with various spaces to relax, eat and sunbathe, and we particularly enjoyed eating as the sun set on the terrace. Gaucin is a great place with lots of restaurants and groceries available and we were lucky enough to be at the first food festival held over the weekend. As with other reviews the are a few things in the villa that could be updated, but this did not deter from the stay. I really didn’t want leave and to me that says everything about the villa and hosts

Amazing Villa in the white villages of Andalucia

What a lovely villa and surrounding area! Gaucin was the perfect village for our group - within walking distant and a number of fabulous restaurants to choose from with breathtaking views. But I also would have been content to never leave the grounds. Views are stunning and the pool provided a deep, refreshing respite from the summer heat. Mark was a fantastic host and met our every need. I would go back in a heartbeat!

A1 location, incredibly relaxed and great hosts, Mark & Star, who happened to be around and asked us for lovely drinks at their other property. So relaxed in fact, that I read 3+ books in a week. Plenty of great eateries, although we did BBQ twice too.

Le regard par-dessus les montagnes

Cette propriété vous donne l’impression de rêver les yeux ouverts! Nichée dans un petit village dans les montagnes, la localisation de la maison permet de se balader à pied pour visiter tout prêt et aussi de sortir un peu plus loin en voiture pour explorer les alentours. La vue est incroyable et difficile à décrire tellement c’est beau et apaisant. Le jardin est superbe et même si nous étions trop tôt en saison pour profiter de la piscine, nous avons quand même eu l’occasion de nous prélasser sur les patios autour. Nous recommandons sans hésiter!! Excellente communication avec le propriétaire.

A perfect week with astonishing views

The villa and surrounding area is dreamy. We were two families with 5 children between us and our stay was perfect Mark and Esther were on hand to answer any questions and help with anything that we needed. We cannot wait to spend a week in the mountains again.
