Ik had een éénpersoonskamer. Badkamer was wat aan de kleine kant, maar voor de rest helemaal top!
De lady of the house gaf me tal van tips aangaande restaurants, warmwaterbronnen enz…zeer handig.
Ik kom hier zeker terug.'

The hotel was nearby busstop 9 Snorrabraut (just a few minute walk). One of the pick up points when you booked an activity. Also nearby downtown centre Reykjavik. The service was good, easy & relaxed. The room with balcony was cosy, clean and comfortable. The balcony was big with a nice view. And oh my, the beds were just perfect, for me the best beds a hotel can have! As you can read we enjoyed every minute of our stay in Hotel Alda and in Iceland!'

"Overall it was fine but very small rooms. There was quite some noise from other tourists slamming their doors multiple times during the night. Staff was kind and helpful. Room was also clean. "
"Bij dit hotel zit je midden in het centrum zonder dat het gehorig is. Wij hadden een deluxe kamer die erg schoon was. Binnen 5 minuten ben je bij busstop 14, van waaruit je alle transfers neemt naar excursies, het vliegveld etc.
Er is een bar in het hotel, daar miet je wel direct afrekenen.
Ontbijt is oké, maar er is niets warms, dus ook geen omelet of toast. En niet echt variatie.

But the kitchen can hardly be used due to very limited cooking utensils and cleaning capacity. If you plan to cook yourself, maybe you should find another place.

Regarding parking, the on site parking is 20 Euro/day and there is only 1 lot. It's not too difficult to find a on street parking nearby, but it's expensive at 600 ISK/hour, payable from 9am to 9pm. A good choice is to park in a nearby garage (Tradarkot) at the rate of 260 ISK for the 1st hour and 130 ISK/hour for the following hours (Oct. 2024 price). With Parka app, it's very convenient to check in and out for the garage. "
