4/10 – Matig

This review applies to apartment 18 (studio), so I cannot speak to the other apartments. But honestly, I’d stay elsewhere.
The positives: relatively quiet neighborhood but not centrally located (though with easy access to the subway and two equidistant train stations). Clean room. Staff friendly.
The negatives: where to begin. First, whomever designed the shower/toilet should never work again as a designer. There’s no separate shower stall. The rainfall shower is directly next to the toilet without any divider. What this means is you end up with the entire shower/toilet soaked in water (the floor isn’t slanted either to allow water runoff into the drain) and you must use a squeegee to direct the water into the drain after a shower. Even then, the entire floor remains wet (have fun using the toilet). It’s truly absurd.
Then there’s the “television,” which in the case of apartment 18 is a projection screen. (Add to this that the HDMI1 connection often fails.)
The door is perhaps one of the noisiest I’ve heard when opening and closing, which is annoying if you’re an early riser and trying to be quiet for other guests. And the electronic keypad can be finicky at best.
Also, enjoy trying to sleep with the green hue that permeates the space because of the emergency exit sign.
Speaking of quiet: if you’re in apartment 18, just know that it will often sound like a herd of elephants above your head.
