'Think of it as luxury camping and you'll be happy. If your idea of comfort is umbrella drinks by the pool, you will not. Personally, I loved it. But it's not for everyone. 'I really liked that the cabin is surrounded by tropical plants. The room is quite clean. The entry code provided by the platform and the host are different leaving us a bit confused. 'Great place just down the road from the National Park. Took 5 minutes or so to get to the main entrance. The unit is part of the main residence, which was quiet, however you could hear the wood creek above you when the residence walks. Like all Hawaii you are subject to the roosters waking you up early but definitely recommend if you need a place to crash VERY close to the park.'

'This is the second time we stayed at this property. Karla is a wonderful and responsive host. Eating breakfast on the lanai was a great way to start the day. The property is the perfect size a for a couple. The kitchen has everything you need. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the Hilo side of the island.'

'The tree cottage was a fabulous place to stay for the week. Very close to Volcano National Park so great for hikers and Volcano watch. The cottage was clean, comfortable and just a great place to get away for peace and quiet. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary cooking utensils and the small fridge was plenty for keeping food cold. Highly recommended!'

'Lights on and music playing when we arrived. I was amazed at how well they manage the moisture in their location. With a dehumidifier and air purifier it was not musty at all.
