We booked & paid 20,000 for this property six months in advance for a five-day family reunion.A major reason we chose this home at such a high price point was the promise of a heated pool & jacuzzi, which were prominently advertised in the listing. Unfortunately, the pool heater was broken, making both features unusable during our entire stay (and it was a cool week!)Despite repeated outreach, the owners never managed to get a professional pool service to resolve the issue. Their only response was to say “sorry” while refusing to provide any adjustment or partial refund. At this level of cost & marketing, that is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, from the moment we left, we received negative, condescending texts & emails accusing us of leaving the home in disarray (a cleaning service was clearly included in the fee). They went so far as to charge additional fees to our credit card—beyond the amount already paid—without justification. Thankfully, we had taken videos before checkout showing we had complied with their instructions, including stripping the beds & leaving linens on the floor for the cleaning crew scheduled to arrive just minutes later (see pics)The house itself was otherwise fine, but overall, the experience was disappointing & frustrating. When a property is marketed at a premium, owners & managers have a responsibility to deliver what was advertised—or to make things right if they cannot. Unfortunately, that did not happen here.
