'Heerlijk genoten voor de tweede keer van hotel Chaweng Buri. De eerste keer 11 jaar geleden. Hotel is nog even goed als toen. Super vriendelijk personeel. Goed ontbijt ( wel moet je om kaas vragen als je dit wilt). Diner is heel goed. Alleen maken ze van de uitstraling niet zoveel werk als de andere aan t strand en dat is zonde.

'Wij hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Mantra. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ja, het ligt inderdaad wat hoger, maar wij waren heel blij met onze keuze, omdat we nu ook niet middenin het "Koh Samui/chaweng" toerisme zaten, wat niet direct ons ding was. De golfkarretjes brengen je naar boven of beneden als je dit zou willen en ze bieden het ook actief aan. Onze kamer was heel! ruim, schoon en had fantastisch uitzicht (5 sterren+++). "The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The food was decent, with two live cooking stations offering eggs and pancakes. However, the hotel has a significant number of stairs, making it less accessible for some guests. Aside from the pools and pool bar, there were few other amenities available, so there wasn't a great deal to do on-site. The hotel itself is rather dated, but overall, it was a pleasant stay."

The hotel is located in a more quiet area of Samui. The only minor downside for us was the fact that the minimum spend for the beach club also applies to hotel guest. Although hotel guests receive a discount on the minimum spend amount, we found this a bit strange. Especially since we booked a villa which is one of their most expensive rooms."
