The Shoreline Inn
I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door ...

Aspen Lodge
The only issue we had was not being able to check in until later in the afternoon. Apparently, they were understaffed that day. The TV and viewing was hard to figure out. Not sure we ever did. The breakfast was not really a desirable breakfast. Get some healthy cereal, etc not loaded with sugar.

Rustic Sawtooth Retreat - just minutes from Grand Marais
The cabins were nice and private. It was clean and the experience was great. They had wood that was easily accessible and plenty of heat sources as well as water they left for us.
