I have brought this to the attention of our Head Housekeeper and supervisor as this is not how we conduct our cleanliness program.In regards to the elevator we do have 2. 1 has been replaced with a Brand New elevator, the second will be done in May. This is a big project and takes 6-8 months to complete fully with safety testing needed from AEDARSA.The first elevator should be complete and running come the end of Feb. Still love this hotel but…
I’ve reviewed this hotel a few times because I kept renewing my check in. Amazing. Staff in the day and evening are incredible. Night time leaves much to be desired. There should be a key in for when the doors are locked because one of the staff seems very annoyed when smokers have to buzz in after hours to let us in. If you don’t like your job in customer service, get another one. Otherwise everything was superb. She was rude to me and other people I met at the hotel. Had to use a rock to prop the side door open to avoid her.

We apologize for this delay but shortly you will be happy where your keycard can open these 2 respective doors.In regards to our night staff member I was disheartened to hear of this. We will deal with this shortfall in customer service as this is not acceptable by any means. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms for a good price in comparison to other hotels in GP ! Will stay again. Only suggestion would be key card entry for the front door after hours so you don’t have to buzz in and wait for the desk attendant when you go for a smoke.

Just as an fyi we changed our room door locks in April and May of this year and had to order new doors for the new locks on both the east and west sides of the hotel. This enables the guest to open them with your room key card. Needed access to a freezer to refreeze coldpacks for diabetic insulin medication and fridge in room did not nave a freezer compartment. Spoke with front desk attendant and he did not have any access to a freezer. Room was very cool and heating system did not work. Unit continually blew cold air.regardless of temperature set on wall thermostat controller. Went for complimentary breakfast and food in steam tables was all cold. Spoke with waitress about it. She acknowledged that the steam tables, although turned to highest temperature did not warm food. Did not offer to heat our breakfast (scrambled eggs and sausages). We left hotel very disappointed with our stay.

Good afternoon Greg,Firstly i wanted to apologize for the shortfall from my front desk team. Our team member could have called me direct, went to the kitchen, or put you in a suite if a full size refrigerator was needed. I will discuss with our team and use this unfortunate incident as a teaching tool. In regards to the AC, when the outside temperature is around 15-18c the boiler shuts off for the ac/heating units in the rooms so the rooms do not get too hot. We will look into the room ambient temperature again as over the last 3 years this temperature has worked well. Finally our restaurant is leased out to Majors Homestyle. I have sent your comments off to the manager and proprietor to have addressed as this is unacceptable.Again we sincerely apologize for these shortfalls.Sincerely,Jason HGM

Foyer & outside front of hotel needs a facelift . Grab bars in the showers would be helpful for mature guests . I was most impressed with their honesty , when my husband forgot items of clothing in the room, we called the next day & they had kept the items safely stored for us . We happily retrieved them & are still in awe at the honesty of the staff/ mgt .We’ve had unpleasant experiences at other hotels .
