'The accommodation is very clean, free hot drinks while we stayed and staff very nice, it could do with a lick of paint in certain areas. The location is amazing for walking to both Grasmere and Ambleside. We went to the local pub to watch the badgers. The grounds of Rydal Hall are beautiful and include the grot and a waterfall, Would stay again.'

'The rooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and windows that opened enough to provide good airflow. There were a couple of minor issues in the bathroom. The plastic trim around the shower base had a large hole, leaving sharp edges exposed, so you had to be careful not to catch your toes. The light above the mirror also had a bulb out. 'A Gem of a place to stay, so quiet your own heartbeat will keep you awake, and a view of the landscape to adore. Breakfast is good, basic amenities (Cereal, Toast, Yogurts, etc) with cooked to order items and freshly cooked pastries was a nice touch. Lovely staff, friendly, attentive, and informative on the food locality. Dinner platters, fondue, and on-site bar a wonderful choice for a long day hiking when you're to tired to go out again.'
