'Wat een verrassing, dit hotel. Kleinschalig, maar brandschone, comfortabele kamers. Ontbijt eenvoudig maar prima en voldoende. Loopafstand naar het strand ongeveer 10 minuten. Snorkelspullen en strandhanddoeken gratis te gebruiken. Medewerkers supervriendelijk en steeds bereid om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. Vooraf via WhatsApp contact gehad en afspraken gemaakt. Snelle reactie. Zelden zo naar mijn zin gehad in een hotel!'

'Really liked our stay at Star Shell. The staff are excellent and super helpful. We were travelling with two young kids and honestly their service and friendliness really made our trip so much easier. We were always helped with our luggage without asking and with no expectation of a tip. I would highly recommend using theit airport service. 'Good: Comfortable bed, helpful and kind staff, all advertised amenities and more (a plug converter), good signage, close to shops. Not that good: The sprayers of the soap and shampoo bottles were too tight, not suitable for those liquids. The room smells humid when no air-conditioning, location is far from jetties, but as Male is a small island, it's not that big of a deal.'
