As an older facility, I was pleasantly surprised by how well kept it was. Thoroughly enjoyed the walks around the area and to the waterfront using the elevated sheltered paths. Parking was a breeze once I figured it out. My first late night parking was an adventure when I couldn’t figure out how to get out of the parking garage and walk to the hotel

The room we stayed in on the first floor was very old and could definitely use some updating. There wasn't air conditioning so the room was sweltering hot at times, particularly after showering (no fan in the bathroom either) and the windows didn't open. The walls were super thin so we heard a lot of other guests in neighboring rooms/the hallway. The hotel is in a fabulous location and extremely walkable to so many downtown locations (and right by a bus stop). The proximity to Scotia Square was also incredibly convenient, as was it being attached to the pedway link system. The staff was friendly, without exception. We stayed for two nights and nobody came to clean our room or replace towels in between but I believe that's standard practice in Halifax now. We ate one meal at the restaurant in the hotel and it was great (server was awesome). The front desk staff let us store our bags after we checked out since our flight wasn't until later, which was great. The hotel felt very safe. Prices were good compared to other hotels in the area, although the rooms could definitely use some updating. Would definitely stay here again.

It was nice stay. The room we had was a bit noisy everytime someone used the washroom or water. The staff was friendly. The parking was a little far for my preference but definitely wasn’t an issue.

Hospitality is another form of marketing, canceled my paid off room; they lost money spent on the decoration It disappointed me as a former Marriott hotel receptionist is that I arrived at the hotel around 10pm ATL from the airport, guest service stuff including the supervisor couldn’t honour me the room which was fully booked and paid for being short of $50 of deposit even though I guaranteed to replace the card with enough money in the morning Guest service underestimated my ability and showed ignorance Bothers my heart, I returned in the morning for my last night since I had 2 and the room wasn’t even sold that last night, yet the same last night stuff still used same card I had; so inhumane! Even with airport tiredness, my night was canceled which left me with no place to go in a city where I’m not used to Gym wasn’t accessible at around 9 to 10pm young girls were still playing in the pool making it weird for any adult to get in the gym, both connected! Key couldn’t work even though it was during open hours For this worse guest service I’ll never get my leg here and neither people I know won’t be referred Thank you for a great cleaned and decorated room to the room attendant Haliia🙏

The parking for this hotel is soooo far away. You have to park in a parking garage. Then take an elevator into Scotia square center. Then walk through the mall, through a bridgeway, then an escalator. Then another really long hall and finally get to the hotel lobby. Very inconvenient if you have luggage or children. The room was also extremely hot. I put the thermostat as low as it would go (16 Celsius) and I doubt it actually got below 22. Room was outdated and old. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed here because it was lower priced than other hotels in the area for a second time now. Rooms are clean but a little outdated. Parking is nearby but should be noted that it’s a bit of a walk if you have mobility issues. Easy enough to use the 15 minute check-in zone right out front to unload before parking a vehicle.

It was alright but had to do a lot of walking no parking at hotel and the room was too far especially for someone with disabilities like me
