The access to the water wasn't as easy as we hoped, but the fact that there's a little county park in front of the house did work out for us. 'This was just about one of the "biggest" surprises I've EVER found...Elfendahl and the Wanderbus are truly a HUGE TREASURE!! A stay that is 'magical', for sure! Like going into one of Tolkien's books!! We LOVED it, and the owner and staff were outstanding! 'Lovely, well appointed home right on the water. We loved sitting out in the back and watching the eagles, seals and even otters. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has all the basics ready for you. We did not venture out to Hoodsport, but there are restaurants, coffee shop, etc within walking distance. 'I took my grandchildren there for two nights. Our biggest mistake was I didn’t make ferry reservations long before our trip which made us drive through Seattle both ways. Once we got to the place, it was fantastic! Took kids paddle boarding and checked out a water fall. '
