'10/10 hotel honestly. The last 2 times in Maui we stayed next door at the Westin for double the price. The Whaler is clean and has kitchens in the unit so you save a ton of money on breakfast, coffee, and snacks by having it in your room. Staff was friendly, grounds were clean, and parking was free. It's $50 per day at the Westin. We'll definitely be back. '

'Was threatened by a group of local kids who were extremely drunk had a gun on them and they surrounded me and 6 other people cussing and trying to get us to fight them while we were in a hot tub. Would not come back! Also the one pool bar here made awful drinks that were hard to drink and overpriced. '

'Clean room - nicely appointed. Staff friendly and happy to help or answer questions. We upgraded our room to get ocean view and it was worth it! Pool Was always clean and enough loungers available. Easy access to the beach - very convenient and a definite plus. Enjoyed two meals at Maui Brewing Company in middle of resort as well - a bit pricey but food service was quick!'

' The room didn’t really have a balcony, just a very narrow space about 12” wide that you could stand on, no chairs would fit. Also, the ocean view was very very small. These two things were very disappointing since the room was advertised as having a balcony. Our room smelled heavily like marijuana when we first arrived, and the toilet had not been cleaned. When we asked to switch rooms, we were told they were at 98% capacity, and there were no comparable rooms. So the value for what we paid...

'Excellent beautiful place/location. Front desk needs help. Over hour to check in, no apologies and no one in front of us. Just sat behind their computers??? What was happening? No communication was. Got mail I was expecting, no call, email or msg to room. I pressed on check out and they found it. Front desk help needed'

'I rented a two-bedroom unit. The bedrooms and living room were very clean and well maintained. The kitchen could use a bit more attention in terms of cleanliness. The view was great, and the unit itself was spacious and comfortable.'

'Overall, a nice place to stay. Room was nice. Pools were nice. Right on a good section of beach. Free valet services, but the valets were hard to find at the desk and a little slow. It also does seems a little odd that they’re still not cleaning rooms as if we are still worried about Covid. Not even an offer to clean the room or replace towels, soap, toilet paper, etc in the week we were there. Also, a little odd that you keep the “spa” in your name when it is shut down and not opening...

'This is an older property without any modern touches—but it was clean, well-maintained, peaceful and the view from our balcony was spectacular. It was convenient having the the restaurant nearby which had a lively vibe, great food and staff— and a plaza with small shops a short drive away. '

'Very close to the beach. Nice room, good ammenities. Had an AC in the room. Ice machine did not work sadly. Good place to explore the island but also relax a little in the Napili bay. Supermarket closeby. Loved our stay here. Would definitely come again.'
