'The property was well maintained and very clean, as usual. This is the second time we came here, but this time it was for our 34th wedding anniversary. It's an absolutely beautiful property! Oh, and if you like water park type slides, it has a 150 ft slide tube. Such fun!'

'Went for our honeymoon and the Whaler didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and set up pretty well. The communication and follow up was the best I’ve experienced, we wanted to experience a bunch of local spots and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Very centralized to snorkeling, pool, or the ocean. A bunch of good food in walking distance and even some others for a short drive. Was able to whale watch from the room and a short walk to black rock we seen dolphins....

The room was very nice with washer and dryer in the room as well as a beautiful view of the mountains, however if our windows were open, we could hear the leaf blower every morning at 6 AM for about an hour which we’re not used to getting up that early. 'We upgraded to a suite in Banyon when we got there and really were glad we did. The hotel room we had reserved was very dark and u inviting. We had a wonderful time and next time will reserve the suite for sure! Pool is fantastic, love the grassy area under the palm trees. The Castaway Restaurant was delicious! We love this property and will be back!'

'Nice big room. Ocean view was good. Housekeeper did mediocre job but not terrible. The desk staff.. Bell desk and valet exemplary!!!! Holly Welchon at Owners information desk was awesome. Friendly and informational! Will stay again for sure!'

'Pros: The unit! Cable TV like CNBC & Bloomberg, ice machine, pool noodles/snorkel gear, cantenes for day trips, high end kitchen applances and supplies, good mattress. Cons: Undisclosed fees I was asked to pay upon checkin even when I messaged hotel/mgmt/owner? on Expedia platform weeks before to doublecheck and was told no additional $! It should clearly state "pay at property $xx amount" like my other expedia bookings. Expedia resolved it after escalation.'

'Excellent beautiful place/location. Front desk needs help. Over hour to check in, no apologies and no one in front of us. Just sat behind their computers??? What was happening? No communication was. Got mail I was expecting, no call, email or msg to room. I pressed on check out and they found it. Front desk help needed'

'We have been lucky enough to stay at this resort before. We were familiar with the area. Love this area. They had done a good job of cleanup after the storms. Some things were still under construction. We had a crane outside of our balcony one day which was loud but we were not at unit much of the time crew was making noise. Kitchen was Bar Bones. Had to call in for a frying pan. But kbm was super responsive. Condition and quality of beach toys were great. Beds were comfy...

'The breakfast menu was good. The second day there were 2 pieces of French toast left when we got there and they were hard as a rock. Should have been watched more closely for freshness. However, everything else was great. Our room was a balcony side view of the ocean, not an actual ocean view. The room was immaculate. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. '
