'We returned after honeymooning 20 years ago. We stayed in Wailea before. This time we enjoyed the close proximity of the whaler village and their restaurants along with the ability to cook with the fully stocked kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful Wonderful place and will try to stay here again. Hopefully not another 20 years before we are back to beautiful Maui 😊'

'I rented a two-bedroom unit. The bedrooms and living room were very clean and well maintained. The kitchen could use a bit more attention in terms of cleanliness. The view was great, and the unit itself was spacious and comfortable.'

'Fantastic property and stay. The units appear to be recently updated and in great condition. The ocean view was great - mostly unobstructed unless you count a few palm trees. The pool bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen at a resort - very much appreciated this attention! Aside from a negative interaction with the hotel manager who was not friendly or very helpful after our vehicle's windshield was shattered by a golf ball in the valet lot, the rest of the staff was wonderful. 'The hotel room had more appliances than was listed or shown in the pictures which was a pleasant surprise. The one complaint was the AC was not working very well. '

'Breakfast menu was good but lunch and dinner menu needs an upgrade. Rooms were clean and with great view of ocean- we even saw the whales from our balcony. They have shuttle service- which helps to go Whalers. The beach was almost private! No crowds. My only recommendation for the hotel would be to have a vending machine for water and drinks '

'Check in was not great. Our room was not ready which is understandable but when it was ready, they sent us to the wrong tower... clear across the entire property. Our view, supposed to be Garden View, we saw a parked cars looking at their grill and headlights. I would not stay there again.'

' The room didn’t really have a balcony, just a very narrow space about 12” wide that you could stand on, no chairs would fit. Also, the ocean view was very very small. These two things were very disappointing since the room was advertised as having a balcony. Our room smelled heavily like marijuana when we first arrived, and the toilet had not been cleaned. When we asked to switch rooms, we were told they were at 98% capacity, and there were no comparable rooms. So the value for what we paid...

'Went for our honeymoon and the Whaler didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and set up pretty well. The communication and follow up was the best I’ve experienced, we wanted to experience a bunch of local spots and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Very centralized to snorkeling, pool, or the ocean. A bunch of good food in walking distance and even some others for a short drive. Was able to whale watch from the room and a short walk to black rock we seen dolphins....

'We had a great stay with two other couples. The unit is well kept as are the grounds. Some good places to eat without having to drive. My only criticism is that none of the lights are very bright except those in the kitchen. We could not play cards at the dinning table because of this. We had to arrange chairs around the kitchen counter.'

Got mail I was expecting, no call, email or msg to room. I pressed on check out and they found it. Front desk help needed'
