'Clean and reliable, friendly staff'

'The hotel is next to a very busy intersection and was very loud especially at very early hours of morning. The a/c is located right in front of beds which is inconvenient, since you will freeze too quickly but if you turn it off it gets too stuffy. The room we got had a strange smell that wouldn’t go away even with door and window open. I did advise the front desk person and he provided me with some air freshener. Beds seem comfy'

'To begin with, the reviews are obviously fake. I should’ve looked at them more carefully, but I based my decision to stay at this facility had a lot to do with its 8.2 rating. There is review after review where the subject title is just Excellent and then the comment is clean room or blah blah blah but there’s no way that you know 15 people are leaving reviews and they all just say basically the same thing. The hotel has no lobby. You check in talking to a employee through a plexiglass...

'Arrived around 2, staff was some of the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. They were super accommodating and ready to help. They upgraded us to a suite because our room wasn’t accessible without hesitation. The property is older but nice and the room is dated but safe and clean. The beds were nice and the pool was also Nice. The only catch is you have to drive around for food, but DoorDash will deliver to your room! The breakfast was great, eggs sausage, cereal and more! Only one issue is...

'So let’s start off with the fact that we were displaced due to the Garden Grove Chemical spill. We thought that this would be temporary and chose to go on a mini vacay to Belmont shores. Although the photos on Expedia was slightly deceiving, we had a pleasant stay. My husband loved the place, I was thinking we should have splurged and gotten a King size room instead of the Queen, but this place was expensive and not knowing exactly how long we would be displaced, I did t want to “splurge” too...

'My home away from home in Long Beach. I’ve been staying at The Cove very regularly for almost a year now. The folks who work here are like friends and family to me. Always diligent and friendly. The bar and lounge area is open, warm, and welcoming and food is surprisingly good and there are a number of other restaurants nearby as well as a grocery store within walking distance. Highly recommended. I especially enjoy the rubber ducks in the shower. They add a playful touch to the spatious rooms.'

'The exterior of the property was unkept. We had our dogs with us and immediately clean up after them, we were constantly having to look out for other dog’s waste that had been left around the property. The hot tub looks like it had been forgotten about and in a small corner. There were signs for a vending machine but couldn’t find one and the on property ‘market’ was very small and extremely limited in selection. Breakfast was great and staff was very friendly and helpful.'
