'This a charming and beautiful old building. The individual rooms and common spaces are inviting, and sitting on the lanai with a view of Honolulu is wonderful! The owners provide a simple but filling breakfast and a coffee station and fridge near the sleeping quarters. All staff were welcoming and receptive to questions. If you’re looking for accommodation away from the Waikiki area, or near UH, this is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again! '

'The one star rating for communication is for the reservation foul up which was not the fault of the Ala Moana staff, they were amazing! Unfortunately, not booking through the hotel directly caused so much unneeded stress. 'The best staff and hotel we have experienced anywhere! Talia at the front desk was so sweet and extremely helpful! She showed us to our room, walking us from the front desk. We never had that done before. She explained all the amenities the hotel had to offer and showed us where everything was in our room.
