Being right in-front of the church in the old town square was great. Makes wondering around convenient and you feel you can see more as you are nearly always walking distance. The on-site restaurant had wonderful food, and the selection of beer and wine rounded out the evening. I have to say the staff was remarkable. Always so much fun having conversations about how they go through life and to see their impressions of America. Would highly recommend as the place to stay.

The property is historic and amazing due to its heritage annd location. Our rooming the top floor and on the street side had great views. The room itself is small. WiFi was poor. Floors squealed badly. BUT this is an historic property and beautiful and in an amazing location. The location itself is worth the stay.

Good day, thank you for the review. Yes, we are sorry about the Internet, but it was your laptop with the cell phone it worked - strangely enough. All other guests had internet as well. But we found a solution and everything was fine :-) :-) and happy

Overall this is a very charming and historic hotel. It looks great but I believe that it will greatly improve with more staff to operate it efficiently. The service was a bit lacking but somehow it got much better toward the end of my stay. Perhaps, it was a super busy time when I checked in. My room was excellent with a nice view. The breakfast was actually quite good!

Very cool hotel!
Hotel is very cool, historical and is located perfectly in the center of the Aldstadt. We were there for the illumination of the Heidelberg castle and it couldn't have been more perfect. Staff was very helpful as well. Our room was a little quirky to get to be we had a fabulous view of the castle out our window!

Old/Charming hotel with nice staff
The location of the hotel was great and close to a lot of local shops and food options. transportation is easy to get to. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms themselves were in rough shape. I understand the hotel is old, but no a/c made it impossible to sleep because the room was getting so hot. I’d only recommend staying for 1-2 nights.

The Ritter was an absolutely phenomenal experience. Nice staff, nice food, and nice amenities. Would definitely recommend for anyone wishing to spend time in the Heidelberg area.

We had an excellent stay at zum Ritterhaus! The location was in the heart of the old city. We love the church bells. Our courtyard facing room was quiet even on a Saturday night and the staff was helpful and accommodating. Our room was nothing fancy, which we expected, but it was clean and comfortable. We would gladly return.

Couldn't be more central, its in the heart of old town heidelberg. The bldg itself is historical. The single room was very comfortable with Kettle,Tea, coffee, water. We had a late dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was amazing.

Fantastic hotel with incredible old world charm. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious with made to order eggs and omelets besides a buffet.

Guten Tag, danke für ihr Feedback, Wir haben nur eine low budget Betrag erhalten, daher kann kein Frühstück enthalten sein. Wir kennen nicht den Preis, den Sie zahlen. Das Haus ist mitten im Zentrum, mitten in der Altstadt, der Grund warum es gebucht wird, natürlich ist es da nicht still- aber selbst wenn, wir haben darauf keinen Einfluss. Schade das es negativ gewertet wird, aber ist so. Wir wünschen Ihnen alles Gute und bis bald.

On a envie d’y retourner
Chambre très calme sur cour et jardin en terrasse. SDB grande, avec une fenêtre bien équipée. Je recommande tout à fait cette adresse pour un séjour calme dans un quartier pourtant très animé ( vieille ville)

Beautiful old hotel, excellent location in old city. However, there was no in-room internet access during 4 nights of stay, had to go down to lobby for a working internet connection. And despite high breakfast cost (€15), there were various items missing on 2 (out of 4) days (no eggs or no jam or no mushrooms for omelette etc.)
