'The castle is absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in one of the rooms in the outbuilding in the grounds, surrounded by peacocks, and it was lovely to walk across the lawn in the rain in the early morning for breakfast in the castle restaurant. The drawing room is incredible, with a great bar and genuinely spectacular places to sit in medieval window seats and beautiful couches. The staff are all wonderful.
The rooms in the outbuilding are grand, but a lot of the fixtures are getting a bit run down....

'Lovely pub and rooms in the centre of Hexham. Host / landlord was super helpful. Rooms were very clean & well appointed- eg lots of power sockets etc. Would highly recommend and would stay again.'

'The room was nice spacious but could use an update. And they made a fuss about me not wanting to eat in the special 'dog-area' because it felt like being put away... and too hot. i wanted outside but there they didn't serve... finally it was okay but i had to stand my ground and that was not so nice after a very long day's walk... beautiful sitting area outside though!'
