We were a family of 10 -- two grandparents (55-65), four parents (30-40), four grandchildren (3-7). This was a perfect home for us. I'll enumerate all of the great things -- great kitchen, living room, dining room and grill area-- perfect for hanging out and cooking. Great proximity to the beach (very short walk). Ample parking. Great location near Coligny. Great "clean-off" area when you get back from the beach. Great Ice-Maker! Tons of plates, glasses & silverware. Great dishwasher and washer/drier. 5 nice bedrooms on two levels. Well lit. Very pleasant. Checkin/checkout seamless and flawless! This is why I give it 5 stars -- it was a wonderful place to host a week-long family trip to HHI.
The downsides are minor, but if you're expecting an upscale vacation, that's not what you're getting. This is best for a family.
Grandchildren loved the pool. Adults didn't (buggy and dingy).
Faucet handles loose, drawers broken, register that drips onto the toilet when you shower, cobwebs in corners -- all minor inconveniences, but if you care about them, they are there.
TV's are too small. If you want to stream, bring your xbox or Roku's.
I you want a hair dryer, bring one.
I want to emphasize that these critical things are minor, and we loved our stay. I just want to mention things that vacationers may care about so that you're prepared. We would return in a heartbeat!
