Negatief: Staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Whilst first impressions standing in the entrance lobby were positive, sadly the Grand Prince Hotel is clearly still living on the past glory of having once hosted the G7 summit. Something it still promotes everywhere you look!
Our two rooms were tiny, sparcely decorated, dirty and had very limited storage space. The "sea view" we'd been promised (and paid a supplement for) mainly overlooked the industrial harbour.
Adding to the frustration, every facility carries a significant extra charge: the mediocre swimming pool, the gym, the spa, even the ping-pong table! And with no reduced price for children over the age of 11.
The front desk staff were sympathetic to our disappointment and kindly offered to remove the sea view charge. However it's clear that this hotel has seen better days and needs a serious overhaul of its decor and charging policies!
