The Central allowed us to leave our luggage safely until check in time, we arrived at 9.30am and needed to wait until 2pm. We were able to walk around Hobart without the problem of luggage & explore the city centre.

Very nice room - clean and comfortable. Situated above a gaming venue but this did not cause us any issues. No lift if you were concerned about carrying your suitcases up stairs which is ok for us as the rooms are only one floor up.

Love the location in Central Hobart, right above a sports book, cafe, and gaming center. Excellent dining options nearby. Didn't do any gaming, but enjoyed having a bar downstairs. Only downside was the washer / dryer facilities were down, and we had been planning on them.

Very Concerning
Firstly, I will say that the actual room was quite adequate (except for the minute corner shower). But my concern and low points given rests on the hotel itself. I would strongly suspect that it has changed hands. It looked nothing like the photos on the website. It is now a gaming hotel (with the accommodation as a secondary sideline in my opinion). It is now painted a dark grey on the outside with a lot of advertising about it being a Gaming place,e.g.billboards on the footpath and overhead signs etc. You walk in and have to go to the bar to the right of the entry and check-in at the bar surrounded by clients watching wall to wall TVs showing every available sport etc. On the other side of the entrance is the pokie room The accommodation is through a secure door between the two gaming rooms.I am not complaining about the staff as they were polite and helpful with luggage etc and the rooms were very clean and well presented. It is just that it not a suitable hotel to have on this website in its changed form. We felt embarrassed walking in and out. In fact so much so, that although we had booked and paid for two nights, we moved to another hotel after one night. We found the whole experience depressing. There are a few tables and chairs at the end of the TV Gaming room which I suspect is the "restaurant" but dinner is served only 2 nights a week and heaven knows about breakfast. We would not recommend this place as it is nothing like the photos on this website.

We had a great stay at the Central Hotel. Its all you need in a room to explore around Hobart and is well positioned to the harbour. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and the pub was closed earlyso there was no noise. Will stay here again when we come back.

We stayed at Centyral Hotel Hobart a couple of days and returned a week later for another few days. We were able to leave some things which the staff stored for us while we were gone which we appreciated.

Unpainted patches on the walls. Carpet stained in places despite having been cleaned. Rickety floors boards. Loud music outside close by until late. Bed was slightly soft but comfortable. Shower had good pressure and bathroom was nice. TV has no USB or HDMI so I was unable to watch my Netflix series on it despite having a Chromecast with me. It really needs upgrading! Overall there's a lack of investment here, reflected in ageing infrastructure. It's convenient and basically comfortable though.

A great stay for a short holiday
Comfortable and incredibly convenient for a short holiday trip. Our room was relatively small, and the shower cubicle challengingly small for a bulky person, but that's fine when it's all about somewhere with a good bed and plenty of hot water when you're not out exploring.

적극 추천하지는 않습니다. 이유는 많이 먼 것은 아니지만 스카이버스에서 내려서 좀 걸어야 하고, 엘리베이터가 없어서 가방을 들고 계단을 올라가야 하는 점이 불편하고 아래층이 카지노와 바라서 저녁 늦게까지 시끄럽습니다. 방음도 잘 안되어서 옆방에서 떠드는 소리가 계속 들렸습니다. 가격이 적당하고 청소 깨끗하게 해주고, 매일 생수 두 병과 커피 등 차 제공이 좋았습니다. 1층이 술집이고 게임바라서 게임과 술 좋아하는 사람들에게는 선호할 곳이나 가족동반은 절대 추천하지 않습니다. 아침 식사도 제공되지 않습니다. 아래층 바 직원들이 호텔 데스크 업무도 겸업하는데 직원들은 매우 친절합니다.

Every thing you want in a place to stay, provided you're out exploring in the day and not a hotel hangout traveller. Safe, clean, quiet, hot water with good pressure , and centrally located. My only critique is that our shower was a bit small. I'll take that though for the heat lamps we had in our bathroom!

Surprisingly good. The pub under the hotel seems a bit dodgy but the room was very clean and seemed like it was renovated recently so kinda nice. The location was excellent, right in the centre of town. Staff at check in was a inattentive and you have to go into the pub to check in.

This was a great centrally located hotel. It was clean and neat with a huge bathroom. There was some noise from outside from another hotel ( I think) but it didn't bother me. The downstairs bar was handy and I was able to walk everywhere and catch the skybus one block away.

There was an outside area near my room that could get quite noisy, but it did get quiet by 10 pm. My room was cleaned each day and the room and bathroom size was good and well presented

It would be better if 2 room keys can be provided, because it is convenient for 2 people to enter and exit, and the ventilation in the toilet is poor, which can be improved. Generally they are satisfied with this hotel.
