'We got such a warm welcome to this spa hotel! Super kind and helpfull staff. Huge rooms, very traditional but with all the moderne things you need for a plesant stay. So calm and quiet, huge indoor/outdoor onsen. Some of the staff speak flewent english. Get a rental car from Fukui, such a nice 40 min drive up here. Away from stress and noise in the big city. Would come back again for sure! Recommended!'

'Ryokan’s kaiseki dinner was finely executed and delicious. Ryokan has a “lion “ dance show in evening for guests, a bonus. Room size was smaller than we expected but adequate. Location was okay as apart from some stores around the square, there was nothing else around the area. '

'The Staff at this hotel/ryokan were so exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Greeted me by name every time I entered the hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I would stay there again! Also breakfast was delicious!'

'Outstanding experience! Our room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious, beautiful and plentiful. We had their dinner feast one evening and it was extraordinary! The surrounding countryside is MAGNIFICENT with beautiful bridges connecting the steep sides of the river gorge. Lovely rice paddies and super friendly townspeople. Visiting the”Gasso” villages nearby was a highlight as was taking walks around the area. '
