'The hallways and room were nice and clean, but room service was missed on the second day due to staff shortage. A complimentary drink at the bar was offered instead. A nice gesture of sympathy. Regrettably, we missed the free breakfast at the hotel. It was included with our booking. The food offers at the bar were limited during the day before 5pm, so we went out for brunch. The staff was not able to provide us with options to do so out of the hotel. Figured it out on our own.'

'When we booked and received confirmation of booking instructions said they would send us code for building 48 hours before arrival. We never got any information had to contact them on day of check in.
Reason I would not recommend: We were staying in room 107. The kitchen floor had splashes of clear liquid and brown liquid (coffee?) The sofa was visibly stained in many spots and so uncomfortable (felt like springs were poking thru). Only way you could sit on sofa was to use a throw pillow as...

'Wat een warme mensen! Allemaal enorm vriendelijk. We voelden ons zo welkom bij Maureen en haar crew. Het ontbijt en het diner waren heerlijk. Traditionele Schotse keuken, maar ook steeds een keuze die de kids graag lusten. Mooi en authentiek huis. Ruime kamers. Zachte en comfortabele kamers.

'I had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Glynhill Hotel; the staff were amazingly friendly and couldn't do enough for me.
the rooms are beautifully presented and clean (the toilet was a little bit of a squeeze - but I am a big fella)
the food was amazing, from the all-you-can-eat breakfast to the restaurant to the room service.
the pool was in perfect condition and not too busy, which was a help.
I would definitely stay here again.'

'This is a little gem! Convenient to all of our excursions . The bed was heaven! Great pillows! A fan was provided. Bathrooms were clean with good smelling products. I like that our room had a separate toilet room from shower room. There were plenty of places to store luggage, clothes, etc. They provide earplugs in case it gets too loud downstairs, but we didn’t really need them. 'The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. It took a while to get used to the shower because it is very tricky to adjust the temperature. The bed linen was torn. However, the breakfast was a total disaster. All the bread and cake were stale and not fresh. Furthermore, the hotel is far too expensive. There is a much better and cheaper hotel around the corner. I would not recommend this hotel. '

'Het hotel ziet er beter uit dan de buitenkant doet vermoeden. Het matras dat we hadden was aan vervanging toe. De badkamer was ruim met een grote inloopdouche. Het ontbijt was fantastisch. Er is nergens in Schotland zo goed rekening gehouden met mijn allergieën. Alleen al daarom zou ik iedereen dit hotel aanbevelen! De service is perfect.'
