'An hidden beautiful gem just a few steps from Duval street and still quite with its tropical looking garden and great pool. The extraordinary friendly and passionate staff make you feel like home away from home. Room was spotless clean, modern and very well equipped. Bathroom is luxurious and looks like all was just brand new. Great fresh breakfast served every morning and happy hour in afternoon with snack and wine - we give this place 11 out of 10 and we will be definitely back.'

'Een hotel dat past bij Key West en zijn mooie huizen/hotels. Bij aankomst een glas prosecco en prima uitleg over het hotel en omgeving.
Locatie kan haast niet beter. Ver genoeg van alle herrie maar toch op minimale loopafstand van Duval st. Kamers zijn leuk ingericht, het hotel heeft een mooie tuin. Wifi prima. Personeel behulpzaam.Mocht bij het uitchecken nog even gratis lokaal bellen i.v.m persoonlijke zaken.
Enige minpuntje vind ik toch het parkeren (25$ per dag). Wat mij betreft absurd....

'This is a gorgeous historic place in Old Town. The staff was super—helpful, accommodating, professional and friendly. The included breakfast was ample and fresh. The grounds and rooms are lovely lush and charming—four beautiful pools and great A/C. Call ahead to reserve your parking if needed.

'Mermaid & Alligator is a lovely guest house..a real gem..well maintained:furnished/delightfully decorated/curated & comfortable..our ground floor beautiful “garden bedroom”which had doors that opened onto several “cul de sac-like” garden seating, a dipping jacuzzi-like pool& fountains ..each area providing quietude..great to just read Hemingway (😊) or… ..yet the home is also walking distance from the Hemingway House, Duval Street & Seaport shops…'

Mooie grote nette kamer, grote badkamer met dubbele douche.
Het hotel ligt in een residentiële wijk en het is er vrij rustig, niettegenstaande dat je een paar straten verder al in het hart (Duval street en Sunset Point) van Key West bent.'

'Het is een prachtig hotel met een mooie tuin. De kamer was ruim en brandschoon. Helaas was het bed smal en erg zacht. Het hotel ligt dichtbij de haven en het centrum van de stad. Wij hadden een kamer aan een drukke straat. Dat was nogal lawaaiig. Gezien het feit dat er alleen logies werd geboden en we de auto in een parkeergarage moesten zetten, vonden we het wel erg duur.'

'This was our third time in Key West, but the first time in old town. All major attractions were in walking distance. We rented bikes at Ambrosia for the rest, haven’t touched my car during our stay.
Breakfast is great with a variety of options. As a European I would like to see some cheese or sliced meats, but you can’t have it all.

'Alex, the hotel manager is amazing. we were welcomed immediately. we do not want to forget Catherine > really sweet smile and conversation. We can't say enough about this property. Our room 205 was in the Lopez house. I think this is the BEST room on the property. We had a perfect view of the Atlantic. You can also see the Atlantic, west of the Southernmost point. Fantastic! Very Important, if you want to see who is going in and out of Pocket park, and the Southernmost cafe, this is the place to...

"Wij verbleven als gezin met 3 kinderen in de leeftijd van 6-11 in een standaard kamer. Om te beginnen de locatie was top! ‘s nachts wel rumoerig, niet goed te herleiden of dat van het complex afkomstig was. Ontbijt prima. Lekker zwembadje. Alles leuk opgezet. De kamer daarentegen was klein en op een weggestopte plek, voor ons gevoel hebben we de ‘slechtste kamer ‘ gekregen. Prijs-Kwaliteitverhouding erg duur. Om die reden zal ik niet nog een keer hier boeken. Omgeving en faciliteiten kunnen nog zo fijn zijn, een prettige kamer waar je jezelf prettig in voelt is toch echt erg belangrijk."
