'My party's stay at Hotel Resol Ueno was great! We stayed for 7 nights, and on the 4th day they did a thorough cleaning of the rooms, otherwise every day our towels, trash, and waters got replaced. This worked for us as that was mainly what we wanted restocked daily anyway. The rooms are small compared to western hotels, but luckily the beds had ample space underneath to store luggage. Staff are friendly, room is well-kept and has good A/C for these summer months, and the location is great, just...

'Location was near the station, about 5-10mins walk. Room was clean and spacious. having washer and dryer in the room was a plus too! The receptionists were all friendly and helpful. Also, they have free umbrella use for rainy day. And we also utilized their baggage delivery service upon check out( with a fee) . Will stay here again!'

There aren’t many amenities, and the service is very hands-off—not in a bad way, just highly efficient and minimalist. It’s an ideal 'in-and-out' base if you just need a straightforward place to sleep without any faff. We didn’t try the restaurant/cafe, so I can’t comment.'

'For our first visit to Japan on a girls trip, 3 of us. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was large and we were able to layout full sized luggage’s. Bed and pillows were comfortable and we all had good rest each night we loved that there was a washer and dryer in the room which was wonderful. The dryer did take a very long time to dry.
