'We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value.

'I chose this location for its views, balcony and ratings as a romantic location to celebrate a very significant wedding anniversary. The hotel and staff delivered a mixed experience.
While spacious enough and clean, the rooms were not necessarily aligned with the room rates. Some aspects were excellent and recently renovated, while others were a little tired. For the rate we paid it was a little disappointing.
The rest of the facility had some excellent features and were certainly on-point...

'Goed hotel in het centrum van het dorp. Makkelijk te vinden, vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamer (ik had 1 persoonskamer geboekt en had een kamer met een 2persoonsbed en nog een 1persoonsbed) en ruime badkamer. En uiterst vriendelijk geprijsd.
Door problemen met terugvlucht geen gebruik kunnen maken van het ontbijt.'

'The front entrance of the hotel was very nice and appeared modern but the room was very outdated and unfortunately smelt like cigarette smoke upon arrival. The room and rest of the hotel including the thermal spa area seemed grimy and in need of repairs/updated. The tv inside the room was also the size of a laptop monitor. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was decent and provided options. Overall a fine stay but would not stay again. '

'This villa is perfect. From the port of Ischia it’s a 20min walk or 5min with a scooter/car. The rooms are always clean with a terrace that has an unbelievable view of the coast of Napoli. Next to the villa they have their restaurant Nibili. They have delicious food and drinks/wine all fresh from natural products of the island. The staff is really friendly and helpfull. They all speak both italian and english. I had a perfect week here, it’s really worth it staying here! '

'super locatie. alles is heel fijn in orde; prima ontbijtbuffet, super mooi dakterras met schitterend uitzicht. Jammer dat het binnenzwembad een zwembad genoemd wordt: het is echt super klein, eigenlijk meer een plonsbad in plaats van een zwembad.
op de kamer was er een kleine frigo maar die koelde niet voldoende.

'Bra hotel, bra frokost, fin utsikt, litt trange rom til 2stk kofferter, veldig harde senger, ingen overmadrasser, kun en heis på hotellet som var veldig treig, måtte ofte benytte trappene, kirkeklokka i byen ligger veldig nært hotellet som ringer hver halvtime og ofte på nattestid, våknet ofte kl 03 på natta av bjellene.'

'Heel vriendelijk mensen.
De kamer was voldoende en net. Dit voor ons verblijf.
Het terras voor de deur was aangenaam.
'S avonds kon je daar gerust blijven zitten met een zelf meegebracht flesje wijn. Ze zetten zelf de wijn koel en geven je glazen, zonder probleem.
Toen wij doorgingen kregen wij nog een dikke knuffel.
Wij gaan zeker terug.'

'The hotel is situated on a picturesque part of the island. The staff were lovely and helpful. The thermal spa was great and very relaxing. The private beach was comfortable and within easy reach of the hotel. Absolutely loved Ischia. '
