The Loft At Julian Station - Eten, Tasting Rooms And Country Walks op een plaats!

Houd je van proeflokalen, gezond en lekker eten en muziek? Dit comfortabele loft uit de jaren 40 bevindt zich naast het Julian Station. Het station beschikt over Colt's Burger Bar (grasgevoerde hamburgers zonder hormonen of antibiotica), 3 unieke proeflokalen (harde cider, wijn en chocolade, bier) en 5 leuke winkels en een prachtig schilderachtig achterterras. De Loft is prive en rustig, maar nog steeds gunstig gelegen net boven Julian Station voor een spannend, leuk en gemakkelijk verblijf. Hoewel we hebben live muziek tijdens de dag en een aantal proeflokalen, The Loft is privé. Onze plaats is erg familie georiënteerd en dingen die er meestal wind naar beneden rond 07:00 (dat is later dan de meeste plaatsen in Julian!). The Craft Beer Tap & Tasting room is geopend tot ongeveer 8 uur, maar je zult niets van The Loft horen. Wij zijn naast Highway 78 en een rustige landelijke onverharde weg genaamd Orchard Lane, die van mooie wandelingen en een prachtig uitzicht biedt. We zijn ook op loopafstand van vele andere attracties in de Wynola gebied van Julian, waaronder restaurants, goud panning, een kinderboerderij en pompoen patch, hooi ritten, 2 taart winkels en 2 antieke winkelcentra. We hebben zoveel te doen op het terrein van Julian Station, waaronder:

Good for the Basics

Immediately upon arrival we were a little uncomfortable. We were sent a message that the door would be unlocked and the key would be on the table/counter. We flew in from Florida and arrived near midnight. The door was not only unlocked but WIDE open. Unless you have the door locked constantly it will open by itself. It also isn’t mentioned that this is located in a “Dark Sky Community”. For someone who isn’t local or aware these things exist, it means when we arrived it was pitch black and there’s no street lights to guide you because the town works as a whole to keep light pollution down. We were told to park on a certain side of the Burger Bar, but there wasn’t any signage for the Burger Bar. We just parked and hoped for the best. I messaged through VRBO about it and never received a response the entire time we stayed. WIFI is public and we couldn’t get it to work. There’s much more furniture in the rooms than in the pictures making things feel cramped. My older parents commented the bed in the main room was too firm and opted to sleep on the couch and recliner. The fridge and cabinets were full of leftover products from previous stays. Handy if you forget something but off-putting because of germs and you don’t know how long it’s been there. The bathroom has no ventilation and it’s on well water so smells heavily of iron. Plenty of toys and books for kids in bunk bed room, but the dresser is full of linens. Location is beautiful, great for walks, but rental needs work.

The Loft @ Julian station was a fun little weekend getaway for our family. There was no need to drive anywhere, everything is within walking distance. Good food, cold drinks and music in the evening. Would definitely come stay again.

Surprise Surprise

This place is nothing like the photos. We felt like we were staying in someone's full-time home. So much personal clutter in every room. Bathroom was gross - mold everywhere. 10 bottles of shampoo on the floor of the little shower. Nowhere to put your toiletries because the cabinets were packed. Closets were packed messes - couldn't hang your clothes up. The primary bedroom closet smelled of musty mold. Missing or burned out light bulbs, dirty BBQ, 4-cup coffee pot, fireplace thermostat didn't work, constant problems with the WiFi (no TV). The only thing this place has going for it was the location. Has potential but the owners need to do some work and put some money into this place.

Great place with amazing location

We loved staying here. The location is great. Close to downtown Julian, but far enough away from the crowds. We loved the brewery and cider options right downstairs and there's a nice restaurant, pizza place, and pie spot within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!!

Cute Historic Loft

Cute place & beautiful Mountain Views ! We read every review before booking here. Lots talked about being family friendly, a great quiet location.. etc. You hear no noise from the Taste Room as the description says, because you hear it from the highway.. No one mention the fact that we would have to bring a case of bottled water for our family, because the tap water has a system, that did what for it in the end?? It was smelly & tasted awful. We had other concerns to be addressed, to which the Owner was very kind but we will not be returning like others said they would.

Stayed here with my spouse and two kids ages 3 and 7 and it was just perfect. The location could not be better. Fort Cross is across the street as is apple picking. Downstairs there were so many fun things for my kids to do. My only concern had been that it would be noisy since it is just off the road and next to the junction, but it was quiet as can be and we all slept great.

Charming

I stayed here with a friend of mine to finish hiking the Coast to Crest trail, 3 of the trails were just down the road. The place was charming and in a great location if you want to stay away from the crowds in Julian while still within a quick driving distance. The only downside is the highway noise, I wish I would have brought ear plugs for sleeping. Also note that most of Julian Station is only open Friday-Sunday. Despite the road noise, I look forward to returning with my family.

Quaint spot

Totally love the location. Even though it is on the main road, we couldn’t hear the cars! There was no check in, we just walked in and started our vacay! Good food and drinks in below us and a few others that were walking distance and only a 5 min drive to downtown Julian. Heroes was our favorite eatery. Great local vibes and music, food was delicious and staff was the friendliest here! Went hiking at Merigan trail to a beautiful waterfall only 20 mins away! Will highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacay !

Holiday weekend

It was a very peaceful, relaxing stay for the long weekend. It was very convenient being in proximity to small shops and the tasting rooms (wine and hard cider). We really enjoyed staying at the loft. It had everything we needed for our stay. The only thing I can suggest is the bathroom could use an update, but other than that, everything was perfect! Definitely would stay here again!
