One night they had a band that cranked up the amplifier so loud you couldn't hear yourself think inside the room. I had to move to get away from the noise. Otherwise, this is a spectacular hotel in Kampala with great views.

Marriott is losing its customer centricity, it seems to be a global phenomenon. It has become a common observation. I have had better experiences with other hotel chains atleast in this year.

Great Hotel
Highly recommended!! Hotel is beautiful, wonderful views of Kampala and clean. There were events going on each day - conferences, weddings, engagements, comcerts. Staff is attentive!

Pick up and drop off from Airport to hotl was really terrible. Driver was really speeding and we felt very unconfrotable. I told driver several of time to slow down.Very bad driving.

Lovely large suite & comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. Restaurant & terrace bar had good & tasty food options & some great entertainment during our stay. Reception staff were very helpful & friendly. Would stay here again & happy to recommend the Protea Skyz Marriott hotel Kampala, Uganda

I came here with high hopes after an unpleasant experience at another area hotel. The pros here are many! The staff and service for the most part were incredible. The rooftop bar and restaurant (99) was amazing and I felt very welcome and well taken care of by housekeeping, breakfast staff, room service, laundry, etc. etc. They were all phenomenal. I must say that Isma, Denis, and Julius were especially stellar, as was Moses at the front desk. The hotel is beautiful and modern, but one thing I found a bit odd is that there is no climate control (or if there is, it wasn't on) in the lobby and restaurants. The temperatures were very hot and muggy, so I just felt generally uncomfortable in the public areas, which meant I rarely left my room (where the AC was amazing!) The most disappointing aspect of my stay was that I had stayed here just two weeks ago and had a very loud room on the front of the hotel and before I left the USA I called and requested a room that was NOT on the front side. The noise from the construction just across the fence with a concrete mixer running 15 hours a day and saws and hammering and etc etc is enough to make you crazy. When that isn't the issue, it is the parking garage where car alarms go off all hours of the night and the people that gather downstairs and outside can be heard as if they are in the room with you. The room I got was in the same block, one floor higher. I asked about it and was told "I am above the noise".

The property itself was comfortable, clean, and modern. Staff were incredible in every sense. The room I had was very near the front gate on the street side and the level of noise from car alarms going off, guests coming and going, people gathering below my balcony was not the fault of the hotel, but did make it hard to relax at times. No doubt its a beautiful property. Amazing views. Spotless. Next time I will ask for a room further from the entrance. It is more expensive than equally nice hotels in Kampala.

The view at the top is really nice, the hotel is vibrant and always busy, the food is good and the service is great, it gets a bit noisy on weekends but it’s ok, I highly recommend the hotel

Upgraded to executive suite with fantastic views of Kampala. Very spacious comfortable room, a good gym, food was delicious and everyone very helpful. The downside was the internet, which was not stable and at times the bandwidth low (<1Mb) and I never had a hot shower my entire stay. The water was lukewarm.

the staff service is completely poor facility of such quality. for a marriott managed hotel i expected much better . for staters the hotel must consider separating guest services and general information from the check in desk. as it is , the place is always overcrowded and staff overwhelmed . it makes the quality of checking in very slow. staff forget request for service when you call to request for things.

Service is terrible. I had a paid booking for a room for 3 people and they gave us a room with a single bed, and gave us the option of paying extra for another bed or sleeping on the floor. At the restaurant they don’t like it if you order a la carte, and try to force you to have the buffet dinner. Protea Marriott Entebbe is much better

After 5 visits I wont be back.
I got locked out of my Room daily. Every time I left my room I had to reprogram it. Nobody knew about my presence at the hotel and got calls to ask If I am in my room. They still do not have a gym after 2 years. From $120 - $180 in the same time period.
