I enjoyed my stay and it was a reasonable value. I had booked the cheapest room they have, and the AC did not cool the room below about 26C/78F. The food was good and the service was almost always excellent. For example, when I asked for a stopper for the sink, they couldn’t provide one, but within 30 minutes the handyman had changed the sink drain to a new style with a built-in stopper. The local staff spoke adequate English and there were a couple of foreign staff during the day. My only complaint was at the end of my stay, when the driver the hotel arranged did not arrive at 5am as scheduled to take me to the airport. Reception is closed overnight, and it took me 45 minutes to persuade the night watchman to phone an English speaker. By the time the driver arrived at 6:30am, it was too late to catch my flight. Then the driver refused to take me to Phnom Penh, where I could have caught a mid-day flight. When they daytime staff came on duty later in the morning, they were as helpful as they could be, but I still had no option but to buy another, last-minute plane ticket to get to Vietnam.
PassApp moto rickshaws were great for getting back and forth to town.
