'The free mini bar as marketed was never there unfortunately, when leaving we saw on the announcement board that they provide it upon request, however the reception didn’t say a word about it. In general the welcoming was very cold and unpleasant. The facility and rooms were nice!'

'We booked a one BR Apartment for a family of 4 including 2 kids (5 yo). The apartment and the bathroom was spacious and fully equipped. The sofa bed in the living room converted to a pull out bed (unfortunately it is the most uncomfortable bed for 2). The location of the hotel is excellent, with 2 minutes walk to the famous Arbat Street. There are plenty of supermarkets around, with a huge Magnum store just across the road in Lumier building. '

'We loved our stay here. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and assist us. The breakfast was the most extensive buffet we have ever seen; we were shocked that there had been negative reviews. The location is great. There is a nice park across the street and it’s a short walk to many great sights. '

'It was a completely terrible stay, they took the money for 4 people and gave me a bed for 2 people and a sofa with a broken leg. They are also very rude and threatening people. Definitely stay away. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Tamamen berbat bir konaklama, 4 kişilik parası alıp 2 kişilik yatak ve ayağı kırık bir koltuk verdiler ayrıca oldukça kaba ve tehditkar insanlar. Kesinlikle uzak durun. Kimseye tavsiye etmem.'

'I liked this hotel, it’s a little old but good location and great breakfast. The view from 8th floor was brilliant. The bed a shower were good, but the service people were helpful and friendly.'

'The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...
