"We booked this property because of the space and amenities within it, thinking that it would be a good home base to go to Killarney and Dingle and the surrounding areas. What we didn't know is that the little town of Castlemaine has a fun life of it's very own and if you go to Griffin's (a 1-2 minute walk!) for dinner and move to the bar for drinks afterwards, you will have a fantastic time! Our family of 5 adults had plenty of room to stretch out, wash clothes at mid-point of our 8 day tour of Ireland, make a home cooked barbecue meal one night, etc. Hot tub was a welcome treat after a day of hiking. Property was super modern and spotlessly clean. Killarney our favorite town on the trip, and easy drive to Dingle peninsula and other areas."

We stayed 5 days and walked Gap of Dunloe then boated across, Ring of Kerry with boat trip to Skelligs, day trip to Blarney castle and Cobh , Dingle and Slea Head and golfing at Beaufort golf course. Very well equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with ensuites have showers with bath shower combo in main bath. Great for two couples or family. You do need a car. Host was great and offered suggestions that helped make our stay special."

"This house was absolutely perfect for our recent stay in Kerry. It was modern and clean with stunning views over pastures down to Dingle Bay. Plenty of space for our whole family with a bathroom in each bedroom. Well appointed kitchen and lovely, sunny dinning area full of windows. Heather was great at providing us with a crib for a 2.5 year old and for suggested activites all over the ring of Kerry. "The location is beautiful and private and easy to find . Accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough ( apart from the pillows but everyone has different preferences) but felt a bit dark . It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . "My son and I very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very comfortable and clean. The location is just outside of Kenmare, up a winding road that is in very good condition. "Cready River Cottage was absolutely fabulous. Great location and a very modern property with all the mod cons you could wish for. Wonderful outdoor space with gardens and a bubbling stream.
