Genesteld in de exclusieve Vanderhorst Plantation, 12 Surfsong Road, ligt op een ideale locatie, omringd door de weelderige natuur en schoonheid, maar toch slechts een korte wandeling naar het strand. Onlangs gerenoveerd, deze luxe woning heeft prachtige ontwerpdetails die door het hele huis worden tentoongesteld. Ontdek jezelf tijdens deze serene ontsnapping aan het strand met uitzicht op Canvasback Pond. Als u iemand bent die op zoek is naar een speciale unieke woning, dan is deze voor u!

De ruime woning heeft een inrichting met ingewikkelde details die zeker zullen worden opgemerkt. Bovendien voegen het vakmanschap van het meubilair en de prachtige kunstwerken unieke schoonheid toe aan dit kustverblijf. De eerste verdieping van het huis omvat de woonkamer, eetkamer, keuken, studeerkamer en 3 slaapkamers en badkamers. De hoge plafonds en het open concept van de plattegrond verbeteren het gevoel van de woning en bieden vele mogelijkheden om te dineren, te ontspannen, te praten en te spelen.

De woonkamer is luxe, comfortabel ingericht en heeft een flatscreen-tv. Het staat open voor een natte bar met een gootsteen en drankkoelkast, perfect om te genieten van een gekoelde middagdrank. Het grote middelste eiland creëert een ideale ruimte voor ontbijt of om te genieten onder het genot van cocktails. Het speciale kenmerk van het huis is de eetkamer, met een op maat gemaakte, live edge walnoot plaat en prachtige kamerhoge kunstwerken. De gastronomische keuken is zowel mooi als functioneel ingericht met high-end kasten, marmeren werkbladen, moderne roestvrijstalen apparaten en voldoende ruimte om een heerlijke maaltijd te bereiden. Het hol biedt een extra ruimte voor u of uw kinderen om zich terug te trekken en te ontspannen met een film of een goed boek.

De ruime master suite (slaapkamer 1), die zich op de eerste verdieping bevindt, net buiten de woonkamer, beschikt over een kingsize bed en een fantastisch uitzicht op de Canvasback Pond. De master badkamer heeft een inloopdouche, groot ligbad en dubbele wastafels.

Er zijn twee extra slaapkamers (slaapkamers 2 en 3) op de eerste verdieping, elk met een queensize bed en een eigen badkamer. De vierde slaapkamer (slaapkamer 4) bevindt zich boven de garage en beschikt over twee queensize bedden en een eigen badkamer.

Lovely home

This home was just what we wanted and as advertised. Very bright, clean, nicely decorated and well-located. There were some nice extras, such as beach stuff, available for our use. The property manager was quite responsive. Would come back in a heartbeat.

The layout of the house is fantastic for a large group. Everyone has space without being directly on top of one another. The outdoor porch was great to watch the wildlife and yes there are several gators and snakes to be observed. A gate would be a nice idea to discourage those who think since it’s not gated it must be ok to go down and explore……it’s not. The Sweetgrass coffee starter was so good we tried tracking down the blend for purchase but learned it was proprietary and not for sale. We then had to break down the k-cups bc that was the only coffee we brought. We assumed all had keurig machines. I would think that this house would have more enhanced offerings in terms of beach chairs, umbrellas and a trolley to bring g all the gear back and forth. The outdoor space could have been better maintained in terms of cobwebs and the like but I suppose the cleaning team is focused on turning over the inside. The wine fridge really did not maintain a cool temp and the fridge was on small side so could not handle the addtl load. The dishwasher was not secured so when it was loaded or unloaded I had to hold it to prevent it from falling forward. We did call twice but it was not addressed by the on call person. The alarm battery was low and although he silenced it, it only lasted 12 hours and started intermittently alarming at 1 am. We were never successful in getting the Cable Tv to work (not addressed in the book about property) but luckily was able to get Apple TV account to work so caught up on Ted Lasso. All in all, great location, close proximity to Fresh Field Market and the beach. Really no need to leave the island. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great location needs some improvements/maintenance

12 Surfsong is a great house and has a great location. We stayed for two weeks. We visited from out of state and could not bring a lot of staples from home. Our biggest complaints are the mattresses. Especially in the primary bedroom. They are old and sagging. I slept on the bump in the middle of the bed, but then my husband was not able to get rest. By the end of the two weeks I slept on the couch. We left a day early because we wanted to go to my parents house where we knew the beds are comfortable. That was disappointing. The full size bed in the first bedroom and another bed in the room above the garage are also sagging and not comfortable to sleep. When the air conditioner stopped working on the 4th of July a maintenance person came out in the afternoon. That was greatly appreciated. Maintenance recommendations: The house should have beach towels. It is hard to bring when flying from out of state. Iron does not turn on. Ice maker is not working. We bought ice. Kitchen should have dish towels and a starter dish soap. Dishwasher needs to be attached. It leans out of the cabinet when it is open. Doorknob for the door onto the screen porch needs to be tightened. Light out on the screen porch. If the mattresses are updated, I would consider staying again. The house had good space for a group to enjoy and have space. The puzzles were fun. Our children enjoyed the room with pocket doors. They had their own 'living room'. Fireworks at Kiawah were great view from the beach. We were able to ride a couple times to the tower. We have young children ages 4 and 6. They had a blast. The lagoon did not disappoint with an osprey eating near by and alligators too. Thanks for letting us review 12 Sursong.

Walk to the beach

Great spot for a family gathering with adults and grandkids. Wonderful chef’s kitchen meant we never needed to eat out. Only a couple minutes walk to the beach. Kiawah is the best for beach play with flat sands and mild waves.

This was a great rental with a very convenient layout and close to the beach. However, the cleaning crew seems like they cut some corners. Deck furniture was very dusty, as were some lamps around the house. We loved our stay though!

The house is in a great location and well decorated. The only issue we ran into were they really do only give one trash bag for the entire stay (read the fine print) and there was some maintenance issues that we could live through so we never brought up to the management. Everything else was as expected through the pictures.

4 Stars But Could Be 5 Stars

Beautiful home that is very nicely appointed.....but needs some attention in a few areas. Good location. Easy 6 - 7 minute walk to beach. Indoor and outdoor lights need attention.....no 3-way bulbs in house and most outdoor lights need to be replaced. Front door sticks and is difficult to open and close. Screened porch furniture isn't up the that of the rest of the home and needs to be upgraded.

Great space. Maintenance needed.

This home is a great space for a large family to spend time together. Large common and dining areas. Great light and location. We had a few issues with a broken freezer/ice maker, leaking gas on the grill and broken chair legs around the dining room table. We'd recommend the home. Our stay would have been improved without the issues.

We absolutely love this property and location and couldn’t have had a nicer stay! We stayed in this home two years ago and couldn’t wait to come back. The house is just beautiful and a perfect fit for our family with four young-adult children. It’s beautifully situated a very short walk to the beach, has lovely deck views, is well-appointed, airy, modern and comfortable. The property management company is a pleasure to work with. Perfect house for our family! Loved playing games at the island every night and the weather was wonderful so we could enjoy sitting in the deck in the evenings. I REALLY loved the layout of the house and the fact that it wasn’t a 3 or 4 story beach house that you had to continually go up and down stairs! Very comfortable house! Would definitely return again!

Very nice property. Felt like a home, not a rental

It appears the owner(s) didn't spare any expenses when they furnished their house. Every room had comfortable beds, great artwork, high end furniture and lighting. Some rental properties have no character because the owner(s) didn't want to spend money on furniture and interior design. Not the case in this case. The home felt very much like a home. Only complaint was the kitchen was just barely stocked (not even salt and pepper) and we had to purchase a lot of basics at the grocery store. But in general we were very happy.
