We are very happy to hear that we met so many of your expectations, specifically the comfortable bedrooms, the fully stocked kitchen, and the incredible and expansive ocean views. I’d like to address the areas where you feel we fell short of your expectations. As far as the ants inside the house, Kauai is a tropical climate and this tropical climate can sometimes invite unwanted insects. We try to stay on top of it by having the house regularly sprayed by a professional pest control service. It helps not to leave food out on the counters and emptying the trash regularly. The part for the sliding glass door has been ordered and we are just waiting to receive it. Kauai is a very small island with very limited resources. We actually consider that part of its charm, but the downside is that sometimes it just takes a little longer to receive shipments. As soon as it arrives, the door will be fixed. However, we have provided a temporary door stopper to use in the meantime. This house is in a very safe neighborhood and we have never had a single issue with regard to security. The handyman did show up with a box of brand-new lights for the gazebo, but after he twisted a few of the loose bulbs, they all turned on. There wasn’t even a need to replace them. We hope you were able to enjoy the evenings in the fully lit gazebo. Finally, the house is exactly as advertised in the listing, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Our on-island associate is a phone call away 24 hours a day and prides herself on responding quickly to all questions and concerns and we feel she did so in this case. We hope you enjoyed your stay and made memories to last a lifetime. Come back and stay with us again – we’d love to have you.

Again, we apologize for the hot tub not working during your stay, but it was weather related and out of our control. We are excited to say that we are in the process of installing a brand-new hot tub for the enjoyment of our guests. We are so disappointed that you didn't enjoy every minute of your stay at the amazing Sunset View House. We have absolutely no idea where you got the idea that there was a community pool. It certainly wasn't on our online profile. The Sunset View House is a private and secluded property in a quiet residential neighborhood, which is what makes it so very special. We have had both of the minor maintenance issues repaired, we were just waiting for you to check out so that we wouldn't bother you. We hope you'll come back and stay with us again. We have several condos with swimming pool areas that may be more suited for your family.
