'Highly recommended. Faultless. The staff deserve a special mention as they are excellent in all respects. An example is Carol who warmly greets you at breakfast and is a joy. Both breakfast and dinner were very good and the bar and terrace area is spacious with fantastic west facing views. The hotel is spectacularly located high up above the Wye Valley with a wide panorama. Many of the bedrooms benefit from these wonderful views. A great place to stay for exploring this beautiful area.'

'This was our second visit to the lodges and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spotless, good shower and plenty of sockets. The breakfast to go is a bonus and filling. There’s a lovely courtyard which we used to sit out and have supper. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of a hectic life this is the place to come and unwind. The host was friendly and gave us suggestions of places to visit. Will definitely go back again.'

'Strikingly looking hotel. Unfortunately on entering reception, we were greeted with a dirty carpet, which carries on into the bar area with lots of stains. Our room was up 2 flights of stairs, which I wasn't aware of when I booked. Therefore, in this heatwave, the room was an oven. There was a desk fan - 'thank goodness'. Pleased with the room, the layout and amenities. Curtains need seeing to, useless and need blackouts! All the staff were pleasant and hard working. Did not expect a buffet...

'The food was nice, the staff were friendly however the hotel itself is on the main Hereford road and the noise all night was really loud and therefore we had 2 nights of unrest and no sleep. Unfortunately this would stop us going again'
