I would set some expectations for new visitors to Vieques: unless you are staying in town, rent transportation. The best beaches are very remote through dirt roads and deep puddles. 'A quaint 8 room hotel located adjacent to Blackbeard’s Castle on St Thomas. Owners Lyndsey and Chase, were most accommodating and friendly in welcoming us, gave us a personal tour upon our arrival and offered very helpful information during our stay. It was a downhill walk (1/4 mile) to the Historical Main Street area of St Thomas. The route took you down the famous 99 steps located next to the historical 1829 hotel. Our room was clean, with a nice balcony, kitchenette and near the pool area....

'This hotel was one of our favorite things about a 10-day trip to PR. We we loved the quiet retreat, including being able to stargaze and hear the birds. The open-air style of the room was fantastic -- we stayed dry during rain and saw very few bugs. Carmen and her team are friendly and helpful. The pool is also beautiful! It was well worth the stay a few minutes outside of either town.'

'Leuk hotel, rechtstreeks aan het strand, maar een beetje vergane glorie. Hotel is aan het einde van het eiland Tortola. Dus lange taxirit naar luchthaven en Road Town. Tortola zelf stelt niet veel voor. Op de BVI moet je echt gaan zeilen anders is er verder niets te beleven.'

'Het is gewoon een fijn verblijf, alles 'werkt' en vooral het personeel is top. Heel hartelijk en ze denken met je mee!'

'Hotel is verouderd en heeft dringed onderhoud nodig, zwembad is klein en ook verouderd. Restaurant is goed eten ok. Geen lift dus met zware koffer een hele toer om boven te komen als je niet op de eerste verdieping zit. 2 nachten meer dan genoeg om hier te verblijven. Heeft 3 sterren maar 2 sterren zou meer dan genoeg zijn'

'The hotel is very well decorated and nicely remodeled. The owner is very accommodating. The rooms were clean. The pool area is nice. The location is a bit remote but nice and quiet and easy access to beautiful beaches. I do wish that the hotel had options for a small/simple breakfast since there isn’t much close by that offers options for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a nice boutique hotel on this island. I prefer it over bigger resorts. '
