'Stunning location ruined by appalling service, poor hygiene, and unprofessional staff
Koh Yao Yai Village Beach Resort offers breathtaking views, but fails catastrophically on basic hospitality. Our family stay in a 1-Bedroom Pool Villa was severely ruined by serious service failures, persistent cleanliness issues, and exceptionally rude staff.
The resort is isolated, leaving guests captive to on-site facilities. With a young child, activities are virtually non-existent beyond the pools.

- remote location and steep prices in restaurants and bars
- staff is rigid and lacking any awareness. Most speak no or little English. The rest is probably restricted by rules of the management. The typical “Thai friendliness” is nowhere to be found.
- far to little drinking water provided in the room (2,5 liter for 6 persons) probably to sell more Italian water?!? Which they serve as standard, but they also have Thai water.
- overall the place feels like the management is lacking...

'We enjoyed every second of our stay, from the delicious welcome cocktail until the checkout. The location is amazing, the breakfast was incredible, the room spacious and comfortable, the 2 pools are very beautiful, the garden very well maintained.
We didn’t eat at the hotel, because right behind the hotel is a small village with plenty of cozy restaurants and bars where you can eat great Thai food.

'Nice hotel but very confusing product.. crazy expensive bar which is ok but without the kids experience.. good breakfast if you have the luck to have an experienced staff.. and management running like chicken and cleaning tables instead of managing.. to be honest this could be a luxury hotel.. and in some parts is just a holiday club at a price of a five star hotel.. so I let you try and make your own judgement '
