'Gion Elite Terrace is a great homebase in Kyoto. The hotel is clean, the rooms are incredibly well designed, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and more. The only downside (which is a larger issue with Kyoto in general) is that the property does not have much authentic Japanese charm or feel because it is largely (75%+) American tourists and staff are perfectly bilingual (a plus, but also a bit disorienting). If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience then this likely isn’t...
