'Property was excellent. Easy to trains and buses. Kitchenette was fully stocked. Had everything you need if you wanted to prepare your own food. Only problem is property is close to a busy street and tradfic noise during the dav is a problem. Other than that, highly recommend. '

'We stayed in Tokyo and Osaka prior to our stay here in Kyoto at Maeniiya Machiya Inn. Maeniiya Machiya Inn is a definite great place to stay and close to everything. Akemi (property owner) is a wealth of knowledge and gave a lot of tips and recommendations. Be sure to visit Sukemasa for dinner if you like Gyoza. It is very close and yummy for 1000yen! 'We had a fantastic time here. Our host greeted us upon arrival and asked if we would like to participate in an authentic tea ceremony. We got dressed in provided outfits, and the kids loved making matcha tea with the host. We loved the two levels, the indoor and outdoor baths, and the washing machine (kids use up a lot of clothes). 'The home is gorgeous, spotless, and the location is fantastic. . Great walk to Kiyomizu Dera, Ryozen Kannon, Yasaka Shrine, Kenninji and more. There are some fantastic nearby restaurants and bars. The distance to train stations are great. The beds could be a bit softer, but I did not try the japanese futons. It would be nice to have better instructions for the shower and bath controls.'

'Beautiful house in excellent condition in a nice quiet area. Everything you need is provided in the house. The phone in the house did not seem to work to call the reception though. The nearest Tofukuji Station is only a few minutes’ walk away with two convenience stores on the way. Love to return in the future; cannot recommend more!! '
