'We had the room with the private pool this time, and let me tell you it was gorgeous!! The pool could use a little updating, but the property is under new ownership and they are renovating everything. When we got there we were told they were giving us a free tour at the hanging bridges… we’ve been to La Fortuna many times, but had never done this activity. This is a DO NOT MISS location! We saw so many birds, a coati, 5 different eyelash vipers, blue jean frogs, etc. I highly recommend...

'At the end of November, 2025, our family spent three days in La Fortuna at Arenal History Inn. This is a small hotel with only about 10 units. It is however a little different from a regular hotel in that each spacious single-storm room is independent from the others.
