Welcome to Casa Toucan. This beautiful, just remodeled house in Surfside Beach has 2 bedroom, 2 baths with very large decks for you to enjoy and relax

Walking distance to the beach and all the entertainment Surfside has to offer.

Just remodeled, Casa Toucan will exceed your expectations. Imaging starting your day with a cup of coffee at the vintage, hand painted, wooden table. Then when you are ready to get sandy, the beach is just minutes away, grab a towel and Go.

Thinking of a more adventurous day? A 5 minute walk will take you to Jetty Park, where you can meet surfers, rent a kayak, go fishing or take your kids to the big playground.

When it’s time to head back, sit and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets in Texas. Enjoy the large family room, kitchen and dining. Here you will have everything you need to relax, cook, entertain and enjoy what it feels to live on a island.

Casa Toucan is located in a really quite street, so your kids can play safely while you are watching them from the deck. Also plenty of space under the deck for shaded get togethers too.

Family trip
House was clean and pictures accurate of interior. Grass wasn’t mowed and master shower did not drain well. Wrap around deck was enjoyable as well as the cool breezes. We did rent a cart to go to beach. Quiet neighborhood.

Great stay at Surfside
Perfect location and size for our family of 4 plus my in-laws. A 5 minute walk to the pedestrian beach was very easy, and we enjoyed watching the big ships come in. I grilled out one night and was surprised the propane tanks were full and there were plenty of bbq utensils stocked up. Communication with Aida was seamless and I would definitely stay there again.

Best Family Vacation Ever
This property was everything and more! Even better than we expected. This house is the perfect location and decorated so cute. They have everything we could have ever needed right there. Communication was top notch from day one. I appreciate everything. Our family vacation could not have been better.

Just right for a family of four
We loved the white kitchen with a big table for 6 people. Very stylish, clean and new. Kids loved the bunk bed. The way to the beach took us about 5-7 minutes on foot. Not far at all and a nice walk. Had some issues with remotes, they didn’t make the right volume. Overall very pleasant stay.

From booking to check out was an absolute breeze with every detail exactly how it was advertised! The house is fantastic in a great location! You will want for nothing in the house, just turn up with your clothes and food. Grill out on the deck, great seating area on the deck that is fenced and safe for kids. Fully equipped kitchen, every appliance and utensil you will ever need! The inside is really well decorated and looked after! If you have kids this place is a must!! We will be booking again!

A nice house at a comfortable distance from the beach.
**Delayed review from July 2022** The property manager was very communicative and responsive. The house is pretty much exactly as you see in the pictures, no surprises. It’s great for a family, the bunk bed in the secondary bedroom sleeps four. Two bathrooms also helps with a larger group. I appreciated that the deck had a gate to the staircase, I felt a little more at ease sitting outside with my toddler. I didn’t have to worry about him trying to go down the stairs while sitting on the deck. There’s not a particularly stunning view, but you can see some of the large cargo vessels from the deck. The kitchen is nice, appropriately stocked with various cookware. The dining table could be a bit bigger considering the house could sleep more than four people, but it’s cute and matched the aesthetics. The decor was nice and beach-feeling, it all seemed very well suited for a family. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off sandy kids before they went upstairs into the house. The house was nice, I would recommend the owner put up some sort of blinds or curtains on the French doors to enhance privacy and reduce the sun from heating up the living room so much.

Nearby Getaway
After reading a scathing review just weeks before our arrival, I was a bit apprehensive about our reservation. Look, if you expect someone to turn down the bedspreads and leave a chocolate mint on the pillow each evening, this is not the place for you. But... If you want a recently remodeled, clean place that is nearby any of the Surfside activities, the "Casa Toucan" would be a good choice. It's roomy inside (and out) and is furnished with anything needed should you want to cook your meals. My only complaints would be having to bring your own drinking water and lug it up the stairs, but that is what Grandkids are for right? Also, the friendly host could have been kind enough to turn down the sun about a gazillion degrees.

Relaxing week
Our host, Aida, was easy to communicate with. We had an issue with the dishwasher and she got the electrician to come fix it in a timely manner. The house was open and comfortable, just right for our family. Split floor plan gave privacy for each couple. Nicely located… Morning walks with the dog to the beach were a great start to each day. We rented a golf cart which gave us some flexibility. coming and going from the drive on part of the beach..
