Het was een prettig verblijf. Het personeel was top! Maar de accommodatie, zowel de studio als het resort is beslist geen 5 sterrrenverblijf. Zeer verouderd en verwaarloosd. We kregen geen waar voor ons geld.

Groot en net resort met zwembad, pool bar en strand. Ontbijt was groot met veel keus uit westers als Aziatisch eten. Kamers waren netjes en ruim. Mini bar werd elke dag gratis bijgevuld met chips, nootjes en drank. Dit hotel ligt midden in de natuur dus regelmatig kom je hier neushoorn vogels en apen tegen. Het resort is zo groot dat er 24 uur shuttle service is die binnen 15 min bij je deur staat om je weg te brengen naar de receptie of naar je kamer. Vanwege COVID-19 gebruiken ze bij het ontbijt buffet plastic handschoenen maar die zorgen juist voor verspilling en overlast want bijna niemand gebruikt ze.

Complex met nagenoeg allemaal vrijstaande appartementen/ kamers. Direct aan de zee en het natuurreservaat opgebouwd. Rijke fora en fauna dus ook soms in en rond de kamers. Shuttle brengt je op verzoek van en naar je kamer. Heerlijk strand met voldoende ligbedden en ook een ruim zwembad met voldoende ligplekken. Verzorging rond het zwembad en strand prima en ook qua eten voldoende mogelijkheden. Wij genoten vooral van de brasserie (direct aan zee en heerlijk eten). Activiteiten direct te boeken bij het resort.

De faciliteiten zijn geweldig met name de shuttle bus de heen en weer rijdt tussen lobby en huisje. Onze studio was heel erg ruim. Ontzettend vriendelijke en behulpzame personeel.

Luxe overwater bungalow
We gingen hier speciaal onze laatste 2 nachtjes naar toe voor de premium over water bungalow. Dat was super, maar verder is het een massaal resort in de buurt waar verder niks is. Wel een kabelbaan in de buurt naar de bergen waar je mooi uitzicht heb. Ontbijt kon je laten bezorgen, alleen dit is 1x fout gegaan doordat het bestelkaartje waarschijnlijk van de deur was weggewaaid. Na bellen een halfuur later alsnog gekregen.

Mooi groen resort met strand
Een mooi resort met een zeer groot groen terrein en strand. Vervoer op het terrein is prima geregeld. Ontbijt is prima. Vervoer is nodig om Langkawi een beetje te kunnen zien. Een grote plus is dat de kabelbaan vlak naast de hoofdingang zit. Heel aardig en net personeel.

Prijzig, maar de moeite waard.
In vergelijking met veel andere locaties is het een prijzig hotel, maar daarom heeft het ook 5 sterren. De service is prima, de accommodaties zijn goed en het voelt gek om gebruik te maken van de shuttleservice die je naar je huisje brengt. Het eten is uitstekend. Er is een geruime keuze bij het ontbijtbuffet en ook 's avonds zijn er drie restaurants waar je bij het hotel kan eten. Wij hebben gebruik gemaakt van het buffet en van het Oriental restaurant. In vergelijking met buiten het resort zijn de prijzen hoog en eet je net zo lekker in het dichtstbijzijnde dorp. Voordeel: veel goedkoper, nadeel: het is een half uur rijden. De natuur bij en om het resort is waanzinnig: de neushoornvogels vliegen regelmatig rond het zwembad, apen in overvloed en de Maleise vliegende kat tijdens de schemering is echt waanzinnig gaaf om te zien. Ons huisje was een junglecottage. Leuke kamer voor twee personen. Wel jammer dat de kluis niet werkte, al heb ik me geen moment onveilig gevoeld.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Langkawi trip and wished we stayed longer. Whilst the rooms may be somewhat dated for a 5*, the customer service at this hotel is exceptional. After checkin they got in touch by WhatsApp to let us know they were available for any assistance 24’7. The facilities were nice, the staff were extremely polite and attentive. It was a real bonus seeing monkeys around the resort, (wish they had come to our balcony!) We didn’t have to wait long for a buggy and didn’t experience queues at breakfast. We opted for half board, there were loads of food options which we liked. On checkout I had left something in the room and they got in touch to let me know within in hour or so, thankfully I had a friend that was able to pick up the item.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at Berjaya Langkawi Resort exceeded all expectations! Literally Paradise for a week! I gpt a seaview premier chalet and it was perfect. I was greeted with warm smiles, impeccable service and a buggy to my villa. The resort's stunning location amidst lush greenery and overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea created a picturesque backdrop for a truly memorable vacation. The accommodation was luxurious and comfortable, providing a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional charm. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the gentle rustle of palm leaves was a rejuvenating experience. The spacious rooms offered breathtaking views and i mean it BREATHETAKING. The resort's facilities catered to every need and desire. Whether lounging by the pool, indulging in delectable cuisine at one of the restaurants, or pampering myself with a relaxing spa treatment, every experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and cared for, adding a personal touch to the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was exploring the island's natural beauty through the resort's various excursions and activities. From island hopping Jet skiing to horse riding on the beach, there was never a dull moment. Sehr schönes, jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Resort! Die "Hütten" und die umliegende Natur sind sehr schön - der Bereich der Lobby und des Hauptrestaurant wirken jedoch eher "renovierungsbedürftig"!

We spent 10 days at the Berjaya and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on one of the chalets over the water. Waking up to the sunrise over the water was a joy, as was watching the sunset from the Thai restaurant. All the restaurants offered a good selection of food, my only quibble being the lack of Malaysian snacks such as Sate at the beach/pool bar. One point where things could improve was the need for a supervisor at the beach bar at busy periods. The lads behind the bar did get confused and overwhelmed some lunchtimes. The resort is spread over a large area with many chalets built into the forest. These looked nice but I heard from some that these looked tired. The Berjaya are in the process of renovating their chalets. To cover this area buggies transport you to restaurants, spa (excellent male therapist in the mens section), pool and back to your chalet. The resort provided a very relaxing holiday and the staff were friendly and so helpful. A big thank you to them all. It is however worth noting few things about the area. We were surprised to find some shops and and restaurants had not reopened since Covid, in particular at the Oriental village and Perdana quay. This limited the amount of alternative places to eat. Fortunately taxi are cheap and easy to get, so you can get to Pantai Cenang etc for a change of scene.

Good value for your money
Beautiful landscape, the hotel has probably seen its best years bur is still nice and clean. Food was ok. We stayed in a premium on water chalet which has amazing views. Overall good experience. The staff was great, really trying their best to make you feel welcome.

We had an amazing stay at this resort. All the staff was amazing and very accommodating, they go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. It’s a large resort so need a shuttle to get around. They also have a private beach area which is clean and has food and beverage options. Seeing monkeys around the property is also a treat, just need to be careful around them. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, found is slow at times. This can improved.
