Past its Best Days
Our host Ana was responsive, reassuring and helpful when water and electricity cut off without warming. Ana rises above the limitations of her ancient Finca which has seen better days. Better to avoid this property if over 5ft 10inches tall (head height restrictions) or difficulty with innumerable random steps. Driveway to Finca Cantera is unmade, narrow and bumpy which is rather wearing after a time. Would not re-book.

Hi Tony, I’m really surprised about your negative review because I’m still have your mails where you said how wonderful the Finca was, that the Finca was everything you were wishing for and even that the 5 stars of the Finca la Cantera were more than deserved. And these are all your words. I don’t understand you. You don’t even mention that you complained about the fridge been noisy and even that the fridge was perfectly working I run to buy a new one and within the 2 days the new fridge was installed and working. I took care of everything. You mistaken the booking dates but I arranged it for you. I even propose you a late check in and you were very grateful and happy to enjoy a few more hours the wonderful Finca. What happened then? You complain because they cut down the electricity for a couple of hours during doing street works? Or because the Canarian inhabitants 150 years ago were thin and small size? Because the access is a dirty path in the countryside that belongs to the town? In any case there is anything I could do about it. Well Tony, I insist, im very surprised that you have change your opinion about Finca la Cantera but it’s your opinion and I respect it. 99% of our guests are very pleased and they enjoy very much their stay at the beautiful Finca!

Welcome to Paradise
This is definitely the best holiday home we have ever booked over the last 10 years in several locations of Southern Europe!! Starting with a very smart booking procedure, accompanied with very helpful emails and hints from the owner Ana til the arrival with the handover of the keys! Entering the house we were absolutely flashed of the very tasteful and cozy interior design, the 100-% cleanness of the finca, the wonderful and completely equipped kitchen where you find definitely everything you need, including several cooler bags, tabs and salt for the (brand new) dishwasher-machine, different (aluminum-) foils etc. and the very good and comfortable bedrooms including the new mattresses! And then the views!! Either from the pool level with different cozy seating & sunbathing areas or the above terrace facing the living room, both with sun from morning to evening with an amazing sunset!! If you’re looking for total shade you will find it on the beautiful covered patio at the entrance decorated with typical local, ancient objects to let you forget that you are in a rented holiday home! All in all these were the best and most relaxing holidays we ever had due to the absolutely beautiful surroundings and total calmness, at daytime and nighttime! Many thanks to Ana & Hans for the warm welcome and the creation of such a wonderful retreat! That was definitely not the last time we booked your beautiful finca!! Kind regards Stefan & Gabriela

A special place
From the moment we booked this finca we knew it was something special. Ana the host is a lovely lady and we were provided with so much information about the finca, detailed directions along with things to do, restaurants etc. We were lucky enough to meet Ana and Hans when there was a problem with the Wi-Fi which was fixed almost immediately. This property is situated in a quiet area with amazing views out to sea, it is filled with lots of thoughtful touches, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The outside space is large with a pool terrace with plenty of seating and a lovely garden area. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay in this holiday property. Thank you so much xx

A wonderful, peaceful location for a relaxing break. Great advice from owner in advance via emails about shops, bars, restaurants, attractions etc. Great views and not over looked. Local village 5 minute walk but no path in places. Bar open Wednesday to Saturday and one small shop. Everything you need within 5 minute drive though. Tee shirt weather even though we had a couple of overcast days with drizzle.

Unseren 3-wöchigen Aufenthalt haben wir vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag sehr genossen. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Urlaub in dieser herrlichen Finca mit Charakter, abseits vom Tourismustrubel. Ana ist eine äußerst aufmerksame Gastgeberin und sorgt mit ihrem professionellen Team (Beatriz - eine Perle) wöchentlich für frische Wäsche und Sauberkeit in und um die Finca. Sehr schön!
Die Finca ist kein Standard-Ferienhaus, sondern ein individuell gestaltetes, wohnliches und gemütliches Wohnhaus. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Im Außenbereich gibt es zum einen eine überdachte, schattige Sitzgruppe sowie den wunderschönen, uneinsehbaren Poolbereich. Sowohl von hier als auch vom Balkon hat man eine spektakuläre Aussicht aufs Meer bis hin nach Fuerteventura. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig, liegt aber ziemlich zentral, so dass alle Ziele leicht erreicht werden können, ein Leihwagen ist aber notwendig. Die sympathischen Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit und geben gute Tipps z.B. für Restaurantbesuche. Wir haben uns zwei Wochen lang dort sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Finca La Cantera sehr genossen. Im Original ist es noch schöner wie auf den Bildern. Die traumhafte Aussicht und der tolle Pool machen es schwer das Haus zu verlassen. Ana ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und immer sofort erreichbar wenn man Fragen hat.

Die Finca ist super sauber, toll eingerichtet und die Küche ist super toll bestückt. Der Pool sowie die Finca wurden 1 x wöchentlich sauger gemacht. Die Vermieterin Ana ist ein Goldstück - sie hilft bei allen Belangen. Der Golfplatz ist 6 Min entfernt und die Innenstadt ca 10 Min. Alles super toll zu erreichen. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder. Fantastic place to stay
The property is fantastic and made our holiday so much better. - the views from the main bedroom were brilliant, my fiance often lay in bed just looking at the sea/sky - huge hall with big table made meals feel special - the pool was well maintained and having it to ourselves made it peaceful - location was great to travel around the island, going north was easy as was going south - kitchen fully equipped made making meals easy - place was immaculate, no dirt/dust which for a dusty island is impressive We will definitely be coming back here again for years to come.

The finca is gorgeous! The owners gave us a warm welcome and the communication was excellent. Ana gave us loads of tips that were very good. We were greeted with a bottle of delicious wine! The finca is very nicely furnished, just like in the pictures. The pool is big and we could use it every day. The finca is quiet and you can really relax there. We will definitely come back again.

Ana was a wonderful host, she provided us with so much information about the Finca, excursions and restaurants. And all of her suggestions were spot on. Lovely, large Finca, the views from the kitchen, lounge and master bedroom were awesome. Antique wood furniture combined with nice furnishings and art work made for a lovely interior. Very clean, warm pool, again with a fantastic view. Nothing at all to find fault with…and a wonderful island with so many things to see and do. We had a lovely quiet time, the villa had everything we needed, was well appointed and Ana and Hans gave us lots of information about the area. They were very good hosts. Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft in Traumlage
Wir waren zu zweit, hatten die Finca für 1 Woche im Februar 2022 gebucht und waren äußerst angetan von unserem Kurztrip in die kanarische Sonne. Unsere Gastgeberin Ana hat uns im Vorfeld schon viele wertvolle Infos per Mail zukommen lassen und war auch während unseres Aufenthalts per whatsapp jederzeit bei Fragen erreichbar. Danke nochmal an der Stelle, Ana. Die Finca La Cantera liegt 15 min vom Airport, mit toller Aussicht auf das Meer und Fuerteventura. Für das Frühstück gibt es vor der Haustür eine Ecke mit Morgensonne, für den Rest des Tages den Balkon und den Pool in Richtung Süden, die beide weitgehend vor dem ständig wehenden Wind auf Lanzarote geschützt sind. Der Pool ist noch dazu praktisch uneinsehbar. Küche ist top ausgestattet, wir haben die komplette Woche selbst gekocht. Die Finca ist insgesamt sehr liebevoll und dem kanarischen Stil entsprechend eingerichtet, genauso wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Von uns jedenfalls klare Empfehlung, wir würden sofort wieder buchen.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Finca liegt in einer ruhigen Umgebung, ist sehr gut ausgestattet und weist ein gemütliches Ambiente auf. Am großzügigen Poolbereich kann man sich gut entspannen und es findet sich immer ein Bereich mit Schatten. Von der Finca aus kann man eigentlich alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel schnell erreichen. Ein weiterer Besuch ist nicht ausgeschlossen.

Wunderschönes Haus mit Weitblick
Das Haus liegt am Rande der Ortschaft Conil, 10 Minuten mit dem Auto vom Meer entfernt. Von dort hat man einen wunderbaren weiten Blick auf das Meer. In das Örtchen Conil (mit Supermarkt) geht man 10 Minuten zu Fuß, die zentrale Lage auf der Insel macht das Haus auch zu einem perfekten Standort, um alle Teile Lanzarotes zu erkunden. Das Haus, der Garten und die Poolterrasse bieten eine Fülle verschiedener Sitzgelegenheiten mit verschiedenen Blicken, zum Beispiel auf dem Balkon in der Abendsonne. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet und sehr groß, zu viert konnten wir problemlos darin kochen. Das Wohnzimmer mit einer großen Fensterfront zum Meer ist sehr einladend und gemütlich. Der Pool und die umliegende Terrasse sind sehr komfortabel, erlauben Sonnen- und Schattenplätze und es gibt eine Sitzecke, so dass man auch am Pool zu Abend essen kann. Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Die Kommunikation mit Ana, der Vermieterin, war sehr schnell, hilfreich und sehr angenehm.

Isolated volcanic blissful paradise
We were finding it difficult to find an isolated villa with a pool for our honeymoon. The moment we saw the photos we knew it was right for us. Ana was so helpful and informative before we arrived, making the whole arrival and check-in process seamless. The villa was spotless, airy and absolutely massive inside. The poolside area is secluded, providing great views of nearby mountains and all the way down to the shore. The kitchen was so well equipped that we didn’t want for anything at any point. The beds were comfortable and we had the best week of sleep in a long time. The villa can be reached from the airport in 15 minutes which is extremely handy after a long flight but you can’t hear the planes as it’s actually quite far away. Ana ensured everything was continuing to meet our expectations throughout the stay and was kind enough to let us check out whenever we wanted as we had a late flight and there was no imminent next set of guests. We fell in love with Lanzarote and this villa was very much part of that. Will be back!

Stilvolle Finca mit Million-Dollar-View
In traumhafter und absolut ruhiger Südhang-Lage fanden wir Ana‘s Finca mit riesigen Pool, der den ganzen Tag in der Sonne liegt. Von den unterschiedlichen Terrassen und Balkonen des Hauses hat man zu allen Tageszeiten herrliche Ausblicke Richtung Meer. Das Haus selbst ist stilvoll eingerichtet und hat einen künstlerischen Charme. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet und es gibt im Haus sowie in den Außenbereichen Handtücher und Decken. Es fehlt an nichts. Ana ist eine äußerst herzliche Gastgeberin und antwortet schnell auf Anfragen. Check in und out waren vollkommen unkompliziert. Der Vulkanausbruch auf La Palma hat uns alternativ nach Lanzarote geführt. Vor allem Ana’s Finca hat Lanzarote zu unserer liebsten Kanaren-Insel gemacht. Wir haben uns sofort in den individuellen Charme des 200 Jahre alten Hauses verliebt. Wir haben uns absolut wohl gefühlt und würden sehr gern wiederkommen.

Oase der Ruhe
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem tollen Haus mehr als genossen. Die Übergabe verlief total problemlos einschließlich des ungewöhnlich netten Kontakts mit Ana, die dieses wunderbare Huas anbietet. Leider konnten wir sie nicht persönlich kennenlernen. Aber wir hoffen sehr, dass es das nächste Mal klappt. Die Fotos und die Beschreibung geben exakt die Situation wieder, wie man sie vor Ort antrifft. Das Haus ist extrem sauber und absolut vollumfänglich ausgestattet. Auch die Betten sind sehr komfortabel. Auch der Pool war durch die Solarbeheizung immer sehr angenehm temperiert. Die Lage des Objekt ist perfekt. Es sind nur wenige Minuten per Auto bis zum nächsten, sehr gut sortierten Supermarkt. Auch der Flughafen ist maximal 15 Minuten entfernt, ohne dass irgendwelcher Fluglärm die wunderbare Ruhe vor Ort stören würde. Der Nationalpark Timanfaya ist gleich um die Ecke. Man hat, wenn man möchte, am Haus wirklich den ganzen Tag Sonne. Es gibt jedoch auch genug Möglichkeiten Schattenplätze zu finden. Vielen Dank nochmals an Ana, die uns so nett empfangen und dafür gesorgt hat, dass es uns an nichts gefehlt hat. Wir haben außerdem einige ihrer Restaurantempfehlungen ausprobiert und waren jedes Mal wirklich mehr als überzeugt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Alma Tapas & + in La Santa. Hier bekommt man außergewöhnlich gute Gastronomie in einem sehr schönen Ambiente zu mehr als angemessenen Preisen. Wir haben schon etliche Ferienhäuser während der Jahre ausprobiert. Selten wurden wir aber so positiv überrascht wie hier. Es stimmt einfach alles.

Si vous désirez séjourner à Lanzarote dans une ancienne ferme rénovée charmante disposant de tout le confort avec une vue panoramique sur l'Océan, une réservation à la Finca la Cantera s'impose. À 15 min. de l'aéroport et à 10 min. des plages les plus proches. Depuis une position qui permet de rayonner facilement dans l'île, tout en profitant d'un environnement très calme. De plus, la propriétaire est très accessible et s'évertue à répondre au mieux à vos demandes.

A lovely villa, beautiful view, walking distance from the local shop but need a car to go anywhere else, Ana the owner wasn't there but kept in touch to make sure everything was OK and let us know when her team would be coming for a midweek clean and pool clean. Great finca in a great spot
We had a great time at this lovely finca. The villa is lovely, beds are comfortable, kitchen is modern, pool is clean and big enough, views are nice. It’s well placed to see all the island and close enough to restaurants and supermarkets to be convenient but still make you feel like you’re away from the crowds. We’re going back next year so what more can I say. Altogether a lovely holiday.

Peaceful, quiet and private. Just great!
Spectacular views across to the coast and in a very quiet location. The villa is well equipped and very nicely furnished. Full range of kitchen equipment and appliances. Smart TV in the lounge with Netflix, YouTube etc. Bluetooth sound system. Good Wifi. Very clean everywhere. The pool and terrace area faces south so gets the sun pretty much from sunrise to sunset with no other buildings around to cast any shadows. The kitchen, lounge and main bedroom have lovely sea views. There is a balcony off the lounge which, again gets the sun all day. A car is essential but you are only about a ten minute drive to Puerto Del Carmen with all the restaurants, bars and shops. There is a small supermarket, a bar and a restaurant in the village of Conil itself, about 1km away. The owners, Ana and Hans are lovely people, very helpful, easy to contact and sent plenty of helpful information before we arrived. We had one minor problem with the newly installed hot water system but this was sorted out very quickly and without fuss. The villa is around 300m above sea level so can be a couple of degrees cooler than by the coast so it is a little cooler in the evenings, especially out of the main summer season. There are heaters in the house if needed. Daytimes are lovely and warm by the pool as the terrace area is set lower than the main house and is quite sheltered from the wind. The house itself stays cool as the main part has walls about 1m thick! In summary, lovely villa, easily big enough for 6 people, great views, quiet location, great owners. Perfect for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. I would say it is better suited to adults as small children would need to be supervised around the pool/terrace area at all times.

Very comfortable and quiet with beautiful pool and garden. Brilliant location for whole of island.
Finca la Cantera is situated on the edge of the beautiful wine growing & volcano district. It is handy for getting to any part of the island. The house is very comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. Ana, owner of the property responded really promptly to any queries and was happy to give us lots of information on places to eat and places to visit. She could not have been more helpful.

A fantastic, peaceful and picturesque gem.
A lovely, well-designed villa with both an expansive living area and a large pool area offering complete privacy. We loved our 2 week stay here in August/September 2018, as we were looking for total relaxation and peace and quiet. This villa certainly offers both in spades. The owner of the villa cannot do enough for you and nothing is too much trouble. Great communication. Highly recommended.

Amazing
We had such an amazing holiday, in such a beautiful place. The pictures do not do it any justice! The finca is in a quite location and not to far from Puerto Del Carmen. It was lovely to meet Ana and Hans they where very helpful with absolutely everything I can't fault them at all.

Very good, everything we needed.
We had a great time. The property was in a quiet and peaceful location and quite private, which was just what we wanted. Great views and close to all the amenities we wanted to use on the island. Nothing was too far away, so great access to all parts of Lanzarote. We used the pool a lot as well as going to the beach, visiting various areas of the island on days out. Would like to stay there again.
